One thing I would like to see more of is women being vocal about their contributions to the family. Not in a condescending or disrespectful way, but simply making sure their contributions are acknowledged. When you contribute to building a family, you or your husband should make it known.
This culture of protecting a husband’s dignity by keeping a wife’s contributions quiet is part of why people come online and act as though women contribute absolutely nothing to their families.
While he was putting most of his income into building a house, you were paying the children’s school fees, sending money to his family or yours, and keeping the household running. While he was saving up to buy a car, you were making sure the house was stocked with food. You were both building that family, just in different ways.
But because people only see the husband’s visible investments, they conveniently ignore the wife’s sacrifices. And when something happens to him, suddenly, everything is described as the product of his sweat, as though his wife was merely a spectator in the life they built together.
This is how society reduces women’s value to childbearing while overlooking their financial and non-financial contributions. It is also why widows and widowers are often treated so differently.
Women need to stop allowing their contributions to become invisible in the name of protecting their husbands’ image. A family is built by a team, and both people’s sacrifices deserve to be acknowledged

30th of December 2025
Had severe disorientation and lightheadedness due to hyperglycemia
2am in the morning
The Lagos state ambulance that took me didn’t have light
We had to use our collective phone torches to find the vein & set the line
Fast foward 2026…I have seen more APC campaign vehicles this month than I have seen fully functional government ambulances in my life
This is madness
A lot of men vehemently reject the idea that coercion is rape because too many of them have done it and cannot confront the reality that they have committed rape in the past

Please sell your ticket to me at early bird price. I really, really need to be outside tonight. I’ve hibernated enough. I need to dance, I need to feel alive, I need to be OUTSIDE. Please, sell your ticket to me 😭
Do you know how insane this nonsense we’ve normalized is????
As in public place, you have to pay a ridiculous amount for something that is supposed to be free????
Our art output has really suffered

this is profoundly brilliant. she gave words to an idea i have been trying to articulate myself. in her words, 'hopelessness is political strategy', and no truer sentence has summised the position of those who have accepted defeat towards the constructed fate of this country.

Nothing wrong with knowing your worth, but expecting 1.5m monthly for a remote, part-time role primarily involving social media posts is quite detached from reality.
Not every salary expectation reflects self worth

Fear to tag you because??
No company was mentioned, but you by yourself quoted my response to a post .. I’m very disappointed to be honest….
You gave me a blank check and I told you how much I would love to be paid… like you said it was an informal meeting…
Men love misogyny bc who wouldn’t want those benefits?

...the woman insisted & I came down & she sat in the middle beside another elder woman. Then she said in Twi that "they can't allow a man sit in the middle, it's disrespectful & they don't approve of that here."
That day my admiration for North shot up 101% ❤️

Tinubu doesn’t know how to do anything outside of racketeering
Create a problem then pretend to be the only solution

This was the job description
And it was for 3 companies at once, he asked me to quote any amount I want to be paid. Even when I repeatedly asked him to tell me what the company is willing to offer.
And he proceeded to making some degrading comments on the call

The place where Tinubu’s campaign team is producing 40,000 tablets in China has been exposed!
The tablets are for campaigns. They will contain campaign messages translated into three major languages - English, Yoruba, and Hausa - and shared among supporters!
So, Tinubu’s government has enough money to produce 40k tablets, yet it's borrowing to finance basic needs?
This is unbelievable!✍️
