Books are amazing. Like having a small version of Netflix in your mind. I hope to be able to read one some day
I do feel compelled to point out that if Michael Malone was coaching the nuggets Trevon Brazile wouldn’t see rotation minutes until 4 of our starters got injured in February
Peyton carried the team in a way that was totally unexpected for a stretch last season when it was vital. But the kernel here is the impact Brazille had alongside jok/gordon/jamal tonight was a higher level than anything I saw from Watson
Another take that I see often and feels lazy. I live 10 min walk or less to 4 of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at, across a range of prices
(Satchels, Potager, fortune wok to table, and alteño)
I can think of multiple great recs in any cuisine across the city
Denver is a city (like most in the US) where your experience is deeply colored by the specific neighborhood you choose to live in.
Growing up here, I never saw myself staying.
Returning and living in the Cheesman area, I can never see myself going anywhere else
Truly one of the least understood cities in the United States
I don't want to be too harsh on Denver, a city I know very well, but I wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend it.
It's not a bad city in the grand scheme of American cities. In fact, among the sprawling, car-dependent metros that dominate much of the country, it's one of the better ones. But it *is* mostly sprawl, public transit is very limited, and downtown is still relatively small and dead at night. Traffic is also a major problem.
There are a lot of cities like this in the US, and Denver is one of the better ones, but it's objectively not great if you're looking for a real urban experience. And worse, because it is one of the better sprawly metros, with high incomes, housing is also very expensive.
So if you want a nice place in the suburbs with plenty of sunshine, reasonably close to the mountains (though it's still a bit of a drive, they're not right next door), and relatively numerous white-collar job opportunities, it's a good choice. But don't expect anything like Chicago, Philly, DC, Boston, or even Seattle. It's much closer to a cross between Atlanta and Minneapolis.
I think the answer to this question is so obvious it doesn’t even need to be asked, and yet I now find myself questioning it. And I think that’s the entire point of the movie. Masterpiece
Hilarious
We're Haemanthus. Yes, our CEO, Billy Evans, is Elizabeth Holmes' partner. Skepticism is rational. We must clear a higher bar. When @nytimes contacted us, we invited them: see our lab, tech, and team. They declined. The headline was already written. Our reality inconvenient.🧵
YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING logs the fifth highest per-theater sales for a ~3hr movie ever. Behind Avengers Endgame, Avatar 2, The Batman, and Oppenheimer...
