Quick explanation: my two factor got completely screwed and it wasn't until today that resetting it actually worked (tried once a month btw). Still at FanSided writing about Braves and other teams and love it. Still love my Battery Power guys.

Happy for the city of Milwaukee. Great baseball town, and all fans should get to experience a ring at least once.
Now, start the clock...because the offseason has officially arrived.
Ernie Johnson (and the Johnson family as a whole) is an institution in the sports world. It will be lesser without him in it as much. He has had a career that all of us to kill to have, and he has done it while, by all accounts, being a great dude. Wish him nothing but the best.
This is how your brain rots when you root for the Cardinals. The number of fake arguments, false assumptions, and idiotic statements of fact is actually impressive.
I believe we have witnessed and are witnessing the biggest scandal in a North American major sport since the inception of legalized sports gambling.
The Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers have each never won a World Series. Both are the AL and NL standards for building competitive teams without financial resources.
What are the odds that, the season before a lockout amid financial competitiveness, two of MLB’s smallest markets make the World Series and are cited by players and media as proof you can compete without big-market spending? Both teams, of which each has never won one, have made it. We will have a first-time-ever World Series champion. It's all happening this season.
Major coincidence? Or ultimate collusion?
Baseball is a sport where if there’s a way to cheat, you will. The players’ union is one of the most unfair fighting mobs in any sports league. That's 'cause the sport of baseball is as dirty as it comes—always has been, always will be.
I’m not saying it’s odd the Brewers swept the Dodgers, whose stars looked like they phoned it in. I'm saying it's very unbelievable.
If you put on a tinfoil hat, you wonder if players pulled off the ultimate chess move.
Yes, I believe the 2026 playoffs were thrown by big-market players and teams to prove a point and gain ammo for off-season CBA talks.
There's many of you that will dismiss this already and think I'm crazy and that's fine—I don't think the average person understands how contentious discussions regarding a salary cap in this sport is and will be. This is Israel and Palestine. These players will never go down in history as the players that caved and gave a salary cap. The owners are prepared to lose multiple seasons in order to get one. If you think the world is very innocent, and this isn't something the players or the players' union would do, you do not have a true beat on what this moment is, and I have a bridge to sell you.
People will call me crazy and point to how good the Brewers and Rays were. Making the World Series isn’t unbelievable—that’s the beauty of what they pulled off.
When the CBA talks are in full force and the real shit starts to fly, I promise you that 2026 World Series will be exhibit A, B, and C.
No, public perception has not been on the owner side, and I still think a good amount still will be. I think fans and smaller markets want a salary cap—however, the tide has begun to turn on perception, and this World Series has helped.
Congratulations to the players and the players' union.
Fucking incredible move.
Respect.
I don't think the numbered of listed analytics staff means much at all. That said, I did laugh when I saw that chart because the Phillies are truly shit on the analytics side. I don't think the Braves are at the cutting edge, but they have really strong people on the data side.
I think he is very, very good....I question whether the power is real and am a little concerned by how much he pulls the ball and whether or not that could cause problems against pitchers that really know how to pitch outside.
my guess is that they make a couple minor changes, but I maintain that while Tim Hyers isn't a problem as a hitting coach, he is for damn sure not a solution
Eww
Replying to @leprekhan
Given their age, contracts, and production, would you trade Riley for Trea Turner straight up?
Pure speculation, although it makes logical sense given their needs and what the free agent market looks like.
Replying to @leprekhan
Are you guessing on the trade market or have you heard something? They have to move some prospect capital. Too many needs.
In the next five years? Sure, but I am generally of the opinion that AA isn't particularly high on the list of the organization's problems. Has he made mistakes? Sure, but some of the hindsight stuff happening right now is deeply silly.
Replying to @leprekhan
Based on what you've seen with the organization and on field success/failures to date, is there any world where you could see AA be on the hot seat within the next 5 years?
Those are two entirely different situations. Different swings, different approaches, different sides of the plate, different injury histories. There is no secret sauce...Austin just has to learn how to hit again.
Replying to @leprekhan
Is there anything in MHII's renaissance this year that the Braves could use/gives you hope about Riley having the same fate?
I have no interest in Neto...his hit tool stinks. Pena would be fun, but he would also definitely be a one-and-done.
Replying to @leprekhan
Fair enough. I wouldn’t mind a Jeremy pena or a Neto. Or go get one of seattles starters
Not the whole farm system, no...but he would be awesome. DH-only is tough and he has dealt with some injury stuff. That said, I will believe Jim Crane will trade Yordan when I see it.
Replying to @leprekhan
If it was made clear that yordan Alvarez is on the market, should the braves trade the entire farm for him?
I think they are going to try to be very active on the trade market. I don't have a great read on how the rest of the league is going to respond to overtures before the lockout.
Replying to @leprekhan
How active a offseason do you think they have? What’s their biggest move , pitcher or outfielder?
I think they bring Dubon back. If Randy Arozarena is anywhere close to reasonable with his contract demands, the Braves should go get him.

Playoff baseball is hard. These Braves teams have been flawed and/or dealt with injuries, but the teams on the other side of the field have some say in what happens, too. In short, its a little bit of all of it.
Replying to @leprekhan
over a 5 year sample size, the Braves have not gotten past Game 4 of the NLDS.
Bad luck or deeper issues?
