Mgulugudu is a blessing of a term from the ngunis. It sounds exactly like its meaning. Even if you don’t speak the language, you wouldn’t assume it’s a compliment if someone called you one. Just brilliant linguistic artistry.

And the problem with religion is that you can’t trust anyone with common sense when it’s involved. Pastors have swindled many educated and successful people. I’m not saying the anti-halalites aren’t stupid. Many evidently open emails ka thipa. I’m saying the fundamental problem is religious fanaticism. And that makes intelligence a non-issue. We have thwalled the dombol!

What a dyan-nkwenkwe core family.
Damon Wayans says that even at 65 years old, if Keenen tells him to get him a soda, he's going to go get it, because in their family, it’s all about an unspoken code of respect, seniority, and brotherly hierarchy. “Yeah, but like even now, this is how my family is. Like, I'm 65 years old and Keenen goes, "Go get me a soda," and I got to go get it.” “If Marlon walks in a room, and you know, if I walk in a room and there's no seats, Marlon gets up. Sean and Keenen will sit, and Marlon will get up and say, "You sit here." And my son will have to do the same thing.” “That's why I love the fact that they have children. Because I go to my theater sometimes and little Damon's there and Mikey's there, and as soon as I walk in the room, the youngest one gets up and lets me sit down without question, and I love that.” “It's just how we do with each other. It's just a quiet code. Some things you don't have to teach, it's just what you see.”

Bolsinaro, a Trump surrogate refusing to accept the results of an election because he lost? How did we not see that coming?

It’s like Trump wrote it himself.

Public Malls like Mall of Africa have rules to reject Christmas decorations and it has to say “Xmas” to be approved. 85% of South Africans are Christian but Prayer has been removed from South African Schools and we wonder why our teenagers are attacking adults on Spring Day? Islam extremists are killing Christians in Nigeria for refusing to convert to Islam. Then we see men from Pakistan and Bangladesh coming to South Africa in numbers and they are refusing to go to Algeria, Dubai, Egypt, Morocco, Saudi, Tunisia, etc. We have every right to suspect that they want to turn SA into an Islamic country. Every Christian country the extremists go to in numbers ends up an Islamic country by force.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a more astonishing answer from a politician. Hlaudi Motsoeneng says he wasn’t a serious politician before but now he is

My woman looked gorgeous today. I couldn’t swoon over her because she made us an hour and a half late to look that way and being late annoys me. But dear god was she a goddess.

“Charismatic” churches are a problem. Today the pastor at the wedding said that you need to be such a man of god that those in your presence feel like they can’t do nonsense. He mentioned all sorts of examples that kinda made sense like people feeling like they can’t cheat in your presence but another example was Alcohol. I didn’t appreciate the extent to which he took this seriously until we got to the house, after the wedding reception at church, and everyone had to hide their alcohol. In fact, no one was allowed to drink until he left. At a wedding??! Aowa man of god.

Kereke ya teng e tsena ka 9 e tswa ka 4. I feel like they are underestimating gods comprehension skills. I recon he heard everything he needed to hear in the first hour or two. Ba nyatsa daai grootman. There’s no way!

“They could be losing 3-0 and you’d still enjoy watching them”. Arteta saved us from the the league’s jesters. Oh Arteta.
Arsenal before Arteta used to be a team you could tune in for 90 minutes and enjoy, even though they don't win trophie but they play beautiful football , they could be losing 3-nil and you’d still enjoy watching them play. Now they’re an eyesore to watch 💔

I understand exactly how PAGAD started. Many times I wish umphakathi would be allowed to discipline certain people over and above them serving prison sentences.
