“For one tiny second there flared a moment of us together…there had been the eternity of growing up and growing old before us, and so much joy even in misery, even in the misery - the real eternity, the real forever - the mortal mystery of that.” - Lestat de Lioncourt

I met @letlovewinx through making my first Nickistat edit, so it seems fitting that the first thing we created together centers around their story.

Question - would anyone be interested in a little IWTV book club on here? I think we’d be starting with TVL! It would be open to anyone willing to engage in deep-dive style discussions with an open mind, whether it’s your first read of the book(s) or 100th.
It’ll be group chat-based, unless we want to consider incorporating additional means of communication in the future. We’ll figure out group size based on interest!
Also, please DM me if you want to join but would have a financial barrier to obtaining the book(s) in order to participate. I (definitely) don’t have unlimited resources but can likely help a few folks if needed!
Hi pals! Just want to put it out there that you’re always welcome to DM me if you want copies of any of the GIFs I post!
I get so much joy from making them & want folks to use them if they also bring you joy (maybe sadness for some of them, sorry) or inspiration.
It also makes me unreasonably happy anytime someone tags me somewhere requesting a GIF, so keep those coming!!
Thinking about Lestat not asking if God exists, but rather where he’s been. An interpretation could be that Lestat is asking why God has always been absent for him specifically. Asking why his prayers haven’t been answered, or why God appeared to abandon him when he was needed the most.
His next question, “am I evil,” could speak to a fear that God doesn’t respond to the prayers of a monster - or Lestat’s belief that, even predating his turning, he was never worthy of saving.
In the words of Ethel Cain - God loves you, but not enough to save you.
Anyway can someone with more specific knowledge about religion share their thoughts because my experience is limited to an early childhood spent in the Catholic Church where we washed men’s feet on Christmas Eve and sat in a basement on Wednesday nights saying Hail Marys repeatedly for two hours straight.

Happy Lestat's Birthday Month to all and to kick off the celebrations I bring you another poster! Sharpened as much as aesthetically possible, text and frames redrawn and image cleaned up in photoshop.

At risk of outing myself as a historical DA fan I gotta admit the tarot concept slapped. Lestat as The Fool - optimism, free spirit, freedom
