Posting on FB today about @Flippfly ‘s Race The Sun. Our students in detention played this every weekday at the end of class for 7 months. They would take turns on apocalypse mode, posting some impressive scores! Shareable game, excellent for occupying an anxious mind. #SEL

The games industry has a broken heart right now. For all those struggling, we are so sorry. For all those fighting the fires, y’all are amazing. This has impacted so many indies who helped us, answered ?’s from me, whose work inspired us. Sitting with y’all in your grief ❤️

Just finished helping a teacher learn about how they can use games to connect with students who have experienced trauma. Games and trauma can both be intimidating/frustrating to outsiders, but in my experience, *nothing* stops a determined teacher. 🎮+❤️ #SEL #GBL #SELGames

We won’t be at SXSW much because *deep, soothing breath* school is not out this year. Not. Out. 🙈 Normal ATX traffic plus 300,000 visitors... Gonna need a lot of mindfulness next week. Still, excited to go to Indie Corner and some panels!

Any of our ATX volunteers free for a few hours this Saturday AM? We are doing a session on wellness and gaming and could use extra hands at school to help run games w/ students. DM and I’ll send you the info.

Building a breakout session for a school conference about videogames and family. (@CheckPointOrg continues to be such a help) Its only a little “talk” and then a LOT of time for students and parents to play demos. Any family friendly streamers out there y’all recommend?

@MeansLibrary is always ready to help us try new games! We are working on curating “first” experiences w/ VR. Rather than trying for easy or short, I’m looking for things that help onboard a student to VR quickly but also are astonishing. @bbc ‘s Tuning Forest is tops so far!
