Well that's a wrap on #Wolverine!
Oh boy what a friggin cool game!
First things first, you cannot help but compare this game to Spider-Man, and while this is very much so a linear experience compared to Spider-Mans open world, this game for me, does exactly what Spider-Man did. Spider-Man made me FEEL like I was Spidey with the freedom to swing about wherever I wanted, and Wolverine 100% made me feel like Logan.
The combat was simple BUT still had lots of nuance to it, getting more and more rage enabling you to literally rip and tear your way through so many enemies at once was epic as hell, I really did enjoy trying out different moves, combos, and customising my adaptations (upgrade tree) to get the experience I wanted from the game.
I started the game on the hardest difficulty and I'm happy to say that I didn't falter and stuck with it to the very end, there were some tricky moments, actually lots of tricky moments, but they just forced me to really hammer down with being more and more aggressive, which just fits in perfectly with how the character is.
I wont say much on the story, as I don't want to drop any spoilers, so all I will say is that I loved it. The character development for Logan was really interesting to delve into. Typically Wolverine has memory issues, so learning about our past as we go through the game really helped to understand him. Plus, the ending....I loved it but it was very bittersweet.
Visually, I thought it was fantastic, from the set pieces, to cinematics, all beautiful. Yeh, there's some clunky camera angles in certain in-game conversations, but it didn't bother me.
The sound design was top notch, you guys know me, I do love my music, and the overall ost coupled with the sfx (especially in combat) just hit the spot/tickled an itch of goriness that I didn't know I needed!
Oh and I loved it that much, I even went ahead an platinumed it!
Overall, is this the best game ever made.... no.
Is it fun.... hell friggin yes!
Would i recommend it.... absolutely!
