When I was in my 20s, I was repeatedly denied a medically necessary hysterectomy because I might “meet a man who wants kids”
I was left disabled, forced to undergo six surgeries, multiple blood & iron transfusions to preserve a diseased uterus for a HYPOTHETICAL child.

17-year-old #VictorPerez was autistic, nonverbal, had cerebral palsy, & walked with a staggered gait. He was lying in his yard with a knife when cops arrived. Cops shot him after he stood up & stumbled towards them.

Yes I’m sure that couldn’t be related to the decision to normalize absurd levels of sickness and an immune damaging virus circulating year round, it’s probably bc schools closed four years ago, makes sense.
I will always be bitter about NYC’s COVID policies — keeping kids out of schools for too long. Zoom school didn’t work for most. Chronic absenteeism surged and hasn’t recovered.
The plan to drop HS exit exams means @NYSEDNews has given up and just wants to hide its fail.
