One more day, one more time
One more sunset, maybe I'd be satisfied
But then again, I know what it would do
Leave me wishing still for one more day with you

Some bonds fit neatly into boxes
Ours spills over
every time I try
to give it a shape
You are neither an answer
nor a coincidence
You are that strange feeling
of déjà vu
that comes before every question
I know almost nothing
about what connects us
yet between us
there is a language
without an alphabet
It’s spoken through every feeling
through what we carry away from it
through those wandering thoughts that travel
without ever apologizing for existing
You have become that mysterious place
where my strength
and my fragility
no longer contradict each other
With you
I can be the one who resists
and the one who trembles
the one who knows
and the one who doubts
without having to choose
which one deserves
to be loved more
I don't know
whether some souls
are destined to find each other
But I believe
there are some that
when they meet
feel less as though
they are discovering one another
than remembering each other
Perhaps that’s what defines us best
you and me
A memory
we have never lived
A familiarity
without a past
A place that feels like home
though we have
never lived there
If one day
life carries us farther apart
than our words
can bring us back together
I will not ask time
to spare us
I will only ask it
never to succeed
in erasing this certainty
Simply because some people
pass through our existence
while others shift something
in our very definition
of existence itself
You my love
you have become that enigma
I no longer wish
to solve
I still don't know
what to call us
I only know
that before you
I wasn't certain
that one soul could recognize itself
in another
without ever having met it
We aren’t meant
to understand certain bonds
Perhaps simply because
we were meant to remember
that we are
each other's other......

All Hallows’ Eve
There is something beautifully strange about a night when the entire world agrees to pretend.
We dress as monsters, ghosts, and things that go bump in the night. We paint unfamiliar faces over our own, as though the rest of the year hasn’t already taught us how to wear a mask.
And perhaps that’s the most haunting part.
For some, Halloween is an invitation to become someone else. For others, it’s permission to finally look like something they’ve been hiding.
A mask over a mask.
And then there are those of us who find our magic in quieter rituals. An old horror film we’ve watched a hundred times. A candle burning beside the television. The familiar sound of a soundtrack that takes us back to a house we no longer live in, a childhood we cannot revisit, or someone who once sat beside us and never will again.
Funny, isn’t it?
How we spend one night celebrating ghosts, when so many of us have been living with them all year.
But Halloween is older than our costumes, our candy, and the flickering television screens.
Long before plastic skeletons decorated porches, there was Samhain. An ancient Celtic festival marking the end of harvest and the beginning of winter. A turning of the seasons, when darkness stretched its fingers across the earth and the boundary between the living and the dead was believed to grow thin.
Perhaps that’s why this night has always felt different.
Not because the dead necessarily return, but because we remember them.
Because nostalgia is its own kind of haunting.
Because somewhere tonight, someone will light a candle without knowing exactly who they’re lighting it for.
Someone will watch a childhood favorite and feel, for just a moment, that time has folded in on itself.
And someone will put on a mask, step into the darkness, and feel more like themselves than they have in years.
So however you spend this All Hallows’ Eve, remember that beneath the costumes and celebrations lives something much older than fear.
The passing of seasons. The honoring of what came before us. The strange, beautiful relationship between memory and mortality.
And perhaps the greatest trick of Halloween is convincing us that ghosts only come out once a year.
Some of us have been carrying entire haunted houses inside ourselves for a lifetime.

Every dawn broke over a heart that had given up, until you stepped into the light.
Unburden your mind of worry.
An ocean of time could not wash away my feelings for you,
and the coming tides will only carry them deeper…

Color of Innocence
#vss365
We spend a lifetime learning to ask for what we need
It is neither science nor art but something entirely outside of both
Some call it bravery
Some, choice
Some, strength
I don't know how to define it
I don't know who to ask
I don't know if there is a point in either
But I know what I want
I want innocence back
I want the innocence to see beauty without hurting for lacking it in my face
I want the innocence to craft dreams without realizing how impossible they will be
I want the innocence to offer my heart without a kaleidoscope of weights to anchor its place
I want the innocence to #travel this life whole
...I don't want a life missing half of me every waking moment day to night to day in an endless colorless loop
...I don't want this life to be a wish for you in another life

The echo of my footfalls ring, a constant hurried sound
I glance behind to see a shadow on my track
The thrill of it all dances in my soul
I will not stop
I will not cease
This dance of ebb and flow
The finish line I cannot see
But in this chase, no chains will ever hold me down

There's a future song my heart might sing
But whispers low when the sun descends
A song, made from journeys done
Of battles fought and lessens won
It might be loud and strong above all
Or soft it may, a gentle hum But still I listen, still I wait
It's in the breath I deeply draw
“Give me that old-fashioned kind
of love,
A little wild, a little tender.
Not a perfect story written in the stars,
Just two hearts choosing to remember.”
