昨日のケーブルはこのアーティストの作品がかっこよかったので似たエフェクトがC4Dで出来るかテストしてた。XParticlesは決め打ちの機能が多くてちょっと自由度が足りなくて同じようなことやるには手作業がかなり発生しそう。XParticlesは開発者が想定してるエフェクト作るには素早くて便利だけどね

had this idea written down since the summer so I'm glad I finally implemented it in houdini! handy trick I learned is to select points by normals to get the ones hit by angled sunlight. Calculate distance along geometry, remap it, and you got some soft falloff for the edges
