94% of AI coding tokens go to re-reading code that already exists, not writing new code. So a tidy codebase isn't just nice for your team anymore. It's cheaper to run. Clear names, small files, a good README. Your agents read them all day.

51% of shoppers say an easy return would bring them back after the holidays. Only 24% of retailers are putting money into returns. Most stores treat a return as a loss. It's really your best shot at a second order. Make returns easy adn offer an exchange first.

The two most powerful things you can do to restore your sanity and health as a developer in the modern agentic age are completing things and taking a short break. You’ll understand why once you realise why agentic coding is making you feel exhausted? Agents have removed the mental downtime and allowed you to spin up many concurrent actions. Your agents do all the drudge work now, indenting, refactoring, taking a break to make something beautiful, hunting the web for the RIGHT algorithm or library to use, experimenting with something you don’t normally do. Agents take that all away and just hammer you with decision request after decision request and keeping you with dozens of open loops. On top of that they let you start many different things at once e branching off in various directions, and each new branch is another piece of your mental capacity stuck in that branch until you finish it. So how do you solve it? 1) take a break, do something g different - not just browsing the web or doom scrolling, go for a walk and look at things, put away your phone 2) find the thing that is closest to DONE and complete it so you never have to think about it again. These two things will help you immensely, like it helps me.

AI doesn't give you your time back. It gives you different work. 85% of knowledge workers are doing more of at least one kind of work. The time saved goes somewhere. If you lead a team, pick where on purpose, or it just fills up with more small stuff.

Hey @TripIt make it easier for me to access an API of my own data please

Goldman just put $500M into teaching small business owners AI. Good. But training isn't the unlock. Give your agent one real, boring job and let it run. One owner asked hers to cost out a tank tweak and got back a plan for a new product line. That's the move.

This graph shows how badly the security through obscurity trend in the past is being blown wide open by AI.
37
Obscurity is no longer a defence. But truthfully, it never was, its just there was never enough scale for the attackers.
41
Security through obscurity met it’s inevitable fate at scale this month.

OK @X and @xai and @bot peeps. I'm on SuperGrok heavy for my grok bot and coding (using grok code cli) and generally use 95-98% of my usage each week, will I be better off or worse off switching to the unified plans?

Most small businesses don't have an AI problem. They have a management problem. 35% found agents running that nobody approved. My rule is simple. Every agent gets a defined job, nothing ships wihtout my yes, and usage is paced against a budget. Boring works.

Stop prompting your coding agents. Give them a job. My dev bots watch prod errors. From tonight two of them grab the latest Bugsnag error overnight adn open a PR to fix it. A human still signs off. Pair programming with an agent is fine. The win is work done while you sleep

Your next customer might not be a person. 67% of Americans plan to use AI for holiday shopping. 43% already found or bought from a new store because AI recommended it. Agents ignore your hero banner. They read price, stock and product data. If that's a mess, you're invisible.

Remote work isn't a cancer. Copying the office onto Zoom is. I've run remote first teams since 2010. When it goes bad it's usually becuase someone moved the 9 to 5 and the back to back meetings onto video and called it remote. Design for it or don't do it.

Nobody wants to hire a junior dev. Age old problem in software. AI makes it worse. Judgement comes from hitting problems while they're small. Agents take those reps away. So juniors meet the problem first in production, at scale. We have to design the apprenticeship on purpose.

When agents write the code, the spec is the work. Figma just launched Specs. Write requirements and agent instructions next to the designs, hand the link to a coding agent. Vague intent in, vague code out. The people who write tight specs will get the most from agents.

47% of small businesses using AI say it's creating jobs. 6% have cut headcount. The real tax isn't AI. It's the tools. 41% now juggle more than 6 platforms, nealry triple 2022. Owners don't need a seventh app. They need one setup that runs the lot.

AI is going to make it easier for good solutions to get found by customers, not harder. We are already seeing this at @StoreConnectHQ, prospects are putting in their full text stack and asking AI how to simplify it. The AI recommends us. Beautiful
