🙌🏼 A campaign win, but more to do: yesterday, we were at Westminster pressing ministers to maintain the £25m Children’s Hospice Grant in England. Today, Health and Social Care Secretary @wesstreeting said he will make an announcement before Christmas, but that it will continue.

Good to see both the #darzi report and the @RCPCHtweets blueprint recognising the increase in childrenwith complex and life-limiting conditions - if we improve the system for this group then it will work for all children - the reverse is not true @CheungRonny @CSI_KCL
We are pleased to see our evidence reflected in the #Darzi Review and welcome the long overdue focus on children's health and the workforce.
We now call for swift action to address the specific challenges identified in the review. Read our response: rcpch.ac.uk/news-events/news…

ALT Infographic with blue background and white text that reads: "The findings of the Darzi Review confirm the concerns our members have been raising for years - our child health services are in crisis. Despite the best efforts of the child health workforce, chronic underinvestment and a lack of focus on children in health policy, has resulted in children in the UK having some of the worst health outcomes in Europe". The quote is signed by Dr Ronny Cheung, Officer for Health Services.

Experts in #LearningDisability worked with volunteers who live with LD or/and autism to develop a guideline for talking about #death.
The volunteers used & reviewed established resources to give their opinions. We learned so much!
Please look at their poster.

🆕 Important story tonight @SkyNews news.sky.com/story/amp/paren… It's vital that @DHSCgovuk & @NHSEngland fill the £300m children's #palliativecare funding gap & maintain the crucial £25m #childrenshospice grant as a central fund. Thanks @ashishskynews for covering.

Dear 🇬🇧,
A vote for the @Conservatives is a vote to kill the NHS. After 13 years of running the NHS into the ground, they have sacrificed your public health for their private wealth for far too long. If you value your family's safety, never vote for them ever again.

In 14 years as a doctor I’ve never known such horrific conditions. Patients dying on trolleys with zero dignity. Or screaming & moaning in corridors. Dickensian overcrowding, total implosion. Despair. Weeping staff. Abject misery.
Do you care at all @Jeremy_Hunt? @SteveBarclay?

Commissioning of palliative care is piecemeal & inadequate. ICSs have responsibility to step up. We can't blame uncommissioned services for gaps in a broken system.
