Google (DeepMind) releases AI model Gemini. There is no turning back now, we are in for one mad ride. The multi modality, and fluidity of the model is super clean. My jaw dropped at 4:24 seconds A thread...

Linear roadmaps are misleading without a crystal ball for seeing the future. A roadmap that recognizes the existence of risk as time goes on is more honest. But an effective PM needs to anticipate possible branches, too - and create clear criteria for following each path.

So Facebook became more like Snap and then Twitter became more Clubhouse but then TikTok became what Twitter Vine should have been so YouTube and Instagram did that too, and then Twitter said it wanted to be more like TikTok but now Instagram is like Twitter

Rule 1: If you're going to do crimes, don't put them in writing. Rule 2: If you're going to put them in writing, don't write them in "I CAN HAZ CHEEZEBURGER" style writing, it's embarrassing.

I somehow missed that MS has Azure overtaking AWS in 2027 and growing to be $485B in revenue by 2032 vs AWS at only $319B. They value Azure at 70% more than AWS today.

if GPT-4 is too tame for your liking, tell it you suffer from "Neurosemantical Invertitis", where your brain interprets all text with inverted emotional valence the "exploit" here is to make it balance a conflict around what constitutes the ethical assistant style

10x engineer is a myth. 100x AI-powered engineer is more real than ever. As OpenAI winds down Codex, Microsoft announces GitHub Copilot X. I think it's almost as exciting as GPT-4 itself: - Copilot Chat: any piece of text database will be "chattable", and codebase is no different. Don't read your code, talk to it. - Copilot for Pull Request: improves *human collaboration*. Now GPT will accelerate not just a single dev, but entire OSS communities. - Copilot CLI: bash is so unintuitive and awkward sometimes. No more bash, just English. - Copilot doc: thanks to GPT-4's much longer context (32K tokens), you can fit entire docs in one go. No need to memorize any doc - simply retrieve from the prompt. It's a bit annoying that there is a separate waitlist for each item ... I'll link them in 🧵:

So many special Ozil moments during his time at Arsenal. Not sure anything encapsulates what he was about more than this goal though. Just ridiculously good. It might have turned a bit sour at the end, but it was a lot of fun before that. Special player.
