The difference between having a tool and being a tool is subtle these days and it’s easy to accidentally build yourself into being a tool. Don’t be a tool.

Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. 🎉
We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly.
1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent can’t see or take possession of the credentials.
The agent gets the task done, but it doesn’t get your passwords..
You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault.

Many of us were trained to immediately hire more people when we hit capacity bottlenecks.
However, holding off on headcount forces the right conversations about prioritization instead.

We're donating Agent Skills to the Agentic AI Foundation (@AgenticAIFdn), the same foundation we donated MCP to.
Since December 2025, 70+ agent platforms have integrated the standard, including ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and VS Code.
Here's what that means for you:
🇵🇱 Okay my final Poland video because we're leaving soon!
It was really fun and we had a great time
I liked Warsaw most to be honest, a very modern city, a bit like East Asia in terms of modernity, with rapid delivery services and apps, everything just works great and fast
I'm not saying it's perfect btw, there's moments where you still realize it's Eastern Europe (or as they'd like to call it Central Europe) but then the difference is they generally solve problems fast and pragmatically
Many shops you go will actually have a long line at the checkout, annoying, but usually there's a second checkout but it's closed
That's because Poland too has a big labor shortage, one of the lowest fertility rates in Europe, so they too kinda have to import people, but they choose to import them from Ukraine and Belarus (and some South Asians actually too)
But wait, so that checkout line is closed yes? I'm so used to Portugal where there is zero incentive to then open another checkout counter but in Poland usually within a few minutes they notice it's busy and open another counter. I know, basic stuff but hard to come by these days. They're fast and pragmatic
Ordering flowers for my gf was easy, the flower shop has an IG (but I don't) so I msg them over Whatsapp, they immediately respond, give me some options, I say what I want, address, payment link with Stripe (!) and done delivered at my hotel by a nice guy. All soooo smooth. Fast response, friendly people. Things just work here!
Poland has done a great job keeping bad immigrants out while bring good immigrants in. The Ukrainians and Belarussians are neighbors and their cultures overlap strongly with Poland. So they fit in easily. Same cultures, same religions, same routines etc. for the most part
A young Polish Uber driver I talked to said to him Krakow (his city) looks just like Lviv in Ukraine, so it's easy for Ukranians in Poland to integrate
There's a lot of police presence in places, and military vehicles also (probably cause of the Ukraine war), the security at the Warsaw Airport is not done by some 5 layer outsourced company with staff that hates you, but by friendly people from the Polish Border Guard (Straż Graniczna) wearing military uniforms
Warsaw has lots of skyscrapers now, and actually the tallest in Europe now at 310 meters is the Varso Tower, crazy!
Poland is a booming economy and growing fast. When you're growing of course it's easy to make things go well. I'd say it's important for Poland to look ahead carefully and don't make the same mistakes that Western Europe did when everything was going well and we were very rich
We became complacent, stagnant, added regulatory burdens, became overly obsessed with climate change and the environment, and imported the lowest quality tier of people from cultures that hate our guys and are diametrically opposed to Western culture
That last part is especially interesting considering Poland's history, where 6 million (!) or 20% of the country was ruthlessly murdered in World War II
I think that gives them the power to not have to be politically correct about immigration like Germany, because Poland after all was the victim, while Germany then was the purpetreyor. Which is why Germany does have to be so politically correct about it, due to extreme historical guilt
You walk on the streets of Poland in the day and at night and you see the difference what sane policy does to daily life
We're all dealing with the echoes of history
So my message to my Polish friends: don't make the same mistakes Western Europe did and you will soon be the richest, safest, most modern country in Europe and hopefully then have the power to be the new leader of Europe
And maybe you can then save Europe as a whole!!
Niech żyje Polska! 🇵🇱
🇵🇱 Warsaw is Poland's biggest city and it is completely safe at 1am at night
No violent junkies, no drug dealers, no street thugs hanging around harassing women (and men), no pickpockets (nor in the day btw)
No shady people hanging around the train and metro stations
Just people living chill together and police enforcing safety
You know like we used to in Western Europe?
There's a lot to learn from Poland

the amount of internal tooling is exploding, it must be at all companies
a weird side effect is when you switch companies then it's all new tools you have to learn, way less consistency than before
but also you can just use an agent to learn about them so maybe it all nets out

We have a huge pivot underway here at Epic, moving developers around to retool for maximum AI acceleration.
The aim isn't to do the same stuff with fewer people, but to enable everyone here to build MORE and BETTER stuff, and to bring the benefits to all teams using Unreal.

The games we've long wanted, which didn't exist because they'd cost several times more to make than they'd earn back, will soon become possible. As will the games developers wanted to build, but couldn't with the resources available. It'll be a new golden age of gaming.

Epic Games released an official plugin that lets Claude Code control Unreal Engine directly.
It connects Claude Code to the Unreal Editor and exposes hundreds of editor tools across 30+ toolsets:
→ Actors, Blueprints and materials
→ Niagara effects, Control Rigs and Sequencer
→ State Trees, widgets and the Gameplay Ability System
→ Automation testing
Install it from Anthropic's official plugin marketplace:
/plugin install unreal-engine-skills-for-claude-code@claude-plugins-official
In Unreal, enable the ModelContextProtocol and AllToolsets plugins, then start the MCP server with the editor open.
Works on Mac, Linux, and Windows through Git Bash or WSL.

The only four real moats btw
Moats! Does anyone have one anymore?
Yes. Yes, they do.
But only a small subset of what people call moats create real long-term value and defensibility.
Not actually a moat:
1. Distribution: This does matter more than ever. Building products has gotten easier, but getting them to customers has not. Distribution, however, does not create durable defensibility. It helps create the raw ingredients for one, but it is not itself a moat.
2. Execution: Yes, speed is critical for startups. But a company that has to sprint forever is not a good business. Ultimately, it will misstep, slow down, and competition will catch up. Speed gives a company more shots on goal as it tries to build a great product and a great business, but it must eventually find something more durable.
3. Brand: The idea is that when everyone is building the same thing, the most resonant brand will win. But for startups, brand works more like customer acquisition spend: Put money in, get growth out. It’s not something that will effectively keep others from competing long-term. Brand can become a true moat over time (as with Coke or Nike or Apple), but it just takes too long to really matter for most startups.
What you're looking for is compounding advantages: a self-reinforcing flywheel that gets stronger and stronger over time, ultimately making a company very hard to compete with long-term.
There are only four compounding advantages that really matter. Every major tech company has at least one:
1. Switching costs: The more deeply embedded a product is in the way a customer works, the harder it is for that customer to switch. This increases retention and revenue per customer, which can be reinvested into the product.
2. Network effects: The more users a product has, the better it gets for everyone. This increases engagement and attracts more users.
3. Scale economies: The more volume a company has, the larger and more efficient its operations can be. This lowers unit costs, funding lower prices or a better product at the same price, further driving up volume.
4. Data effects: The more usage a product has, the more data it generates. This data can be used to improve the product and increase usage.
If you can’t see the potential for any in the startup you’re considering joining, that’s a red flag.
In today’s incredible post, @danhockenmaier shares a simple framework you can run in about an hour after getting an offer:
1. Identify a startup’s compounding advantage
2. Gauge how strong it could get
3. Measure whether it’s working
Inside: dozens of real company examples, the specific metrics to track, and benchmarks for what good and great look like.

A few weeks ago, I re-shared my own old article (ofc from No Kill Switch) on how a mixed developer-analyst role can be a superpower 🦸. Here's another one on how I imagine(d) the role of a modern analyst: no-kill-switch.ghost.io/the-… .
It's seven years old, but even in the Gen AI era, it remains mostly intact 🫶. Maybe except that there won't be separate developer and analyst roles soon - there will just be builders with strong analytical skills 🧑💻, augmented with LLMs 🦾. Is there anything you'd add, change, or remove here?
