I know how hard @lisanandy @RhonddaBryant & @DCMS @ace_national colleagues will have been working to get this over the line. As a former official it's hard to hear from your sectors how much they need help and not be able to say it's coming. Congrats to all on getting here.
People across the nation are set to gain more access to culture where they live with a major funding package announced by Culture Secretary @lisanandy today. This includes financial support for arts venues, museums, libraries, and heritage

We're so pleased to be part of this major announcement with generous new funding from the Julia Rausing Trust - we know there is so much demand for the additional collections activities and projects we'll be able to support and look forward to sharing more in the new year.
NEWS: With thanks to the generous support of the Julia Rausing Trust and building on our long-standing work with @ThePilgrimTrust, AIM is launching a new scheme in '25 - Museum Fundamentals - to support members. Sign up to our eNews for updates.
Andrew has done great things for AIM and we are saying a very grateful goodbye after his wonderful service to the organisation, members, and independent museum community (as well as the wider sector) as Chair, including advocating tirelessly through the struggles of covid.
This afternoon I Chaired the @Aimuseums Board for the last time. My 9-year AIM journey started in Edinburgh in 2016, via Tower of London in 2019, to a finish line today at Manchester Museum. Huge thanks to so many wonderful people, including @tanner_matthew for encouraging me.

Just over a week left to apply to be our new Chair @Aimuseums aim-museums.co.uk/trustee-va… we are grateful to Andrew for steering us through the difficulties of recent years and as he comes to the end of his final term we’re excited to look to the future with a new Chair to lead our
decisionmakers and sector colleagues. This is a great time to join AIM: core funding hopefully secure until early 2027 (thanks @ace_national!) and plans to be a louder voice for independents, build the community our members need to help them thrive, and develop our partnerships
