Itโs hard to grasp the BBCโs systematic attempt to launder Israeli propaganda until you see the sheer scale of it. Here's a compilation of them doing it at 2x speed.
The latest was on Newsnight on 4 November. When Bernie Sanders called Israelโs government extremist, Victoria Derbyshire answered for it: โAnd the Israeli government would deny that they are extremists.โ
As this video shows, BBC presenters repeatedly do this as guests describe Israelโs crimes: โIsrael would say.โ โIsrael would deny.โ โThey would reject that.โ
We counted 70 of these denials and justifications in 52 aired interviews. The BBC calls this impartiality. But in not one of those 52 did a presenter raise any of these words from Israelโs own leaders:

On 10 October 2023, Tahani Mustafa told the BBC that Israeli forces were not distinguishing civilians from fighters. That is cherry-picking. The Royal Charter requires the BBC to be impartial, and the public pays for it through the licence fee. In these interviews, it handed its audience Israelโs denials and left out its leadersโ own words, during a genocide streamed live to the world.

Concerns for the safety of 25 people living in one semi-detached house in a Navan estate was expressed at a meeting of Meath County Council, which heard the property was used to provide emergency homeless accommodation on behalf of the council.
โThis is the worst case of overcrowding in emergency accommodation I have ever seen. How 15 people including many children divided into five different units upstairs are expected to escape successfully from a fire with a high risk of blockages on pathways and exits is keeping me awake at night,โ said Cllr Alan Lawes.

A United Nations title should not place anyone above scrutiny. Yet that is precisely what appears to have happened during Francesca Albanese's visit to Ireland.
Despite international condemnation, calls for resignation from European governments and demands for a UN investigation, Albanese was welcomed by Irish political representatives without question.
She dismissed documented antisemitism against Irish Jews on national radio, then appeared before an Oireachtas committee making a series of outrageous, unsubstantiated allegations.
Not one demand for evidence. Not one challenge to her most shocking claims.
Instead, she got praise, admiration and smiling photographs.
Since when did an Oireachtas committee become a place where extraordinary allegations are applauded rather than examined?
Our elected representatives have a duty to exercise independent judgement, ask difficult questions and demand evidence for serious allegations. That responsibility should never be set aside, regardless of who is speaking.
