My wife sent me this. Seems it relies heavily on whose opinions are being asked (neighbors, regional visitors, Europeans, etc)

Does it matter who funds agricultural development in Africa? Research in Zambia comparing Chinese vs Norwegian-supported initiatives finds that local farming practices, crop diversity and access to resources matter more than who the donor is.

New report: "It is almost certain that material information exists that has not been disclosed, principally by South Africa, the UK and the US."

With the diplomatic deadlock over Western Sahara and Israel, the Algeria-Morocco border remains firmly closed. This is devastating for local economies and cross-border trade, and a boon to traffickers.
