馃く George Russell was TOO FAST through the corners during qualifying in Austin.
According to Anthony Davidson, Russell carried more speed through the esses, but that meant less energy recovery.
The result? Heavy superclipping on the following straight, costing him speed and even affecting his braking.
The explanation reportedly came directly from Russell鈥檚 race engineer, Marcus Dudley.
Being faster through the corners actually made him slower over the lap.
