Provide guides, not scripts, to teachers:
In Kenya, "Editing [teacher] guides to make them less detailed leaving more room for teacher discretion increased student test scores by 0.17 standard deviations."
Nice findings from Kenya - teachers do less well when lesson scripts are more detailed, especially in large classrooms, because of greater cognitive load (@LobeGray argues)
