In a rational education system, every student would graduate understanding how compound interest works (both for savings and debt), basic investing principles like stocks, bonds, and diversification, how credit works including interest rates and credit scores, tax basics and why tax-advantaged accounts matter, options and derivatives, how to read financial statements so you could actually evaluate companies, and inflation and monetary policy. If this were accidental, it would be easy to fix. It isn't fixed. It's working as intended, a dam, a barrier to keep those already wealthy with as little competition and as much power as possible.
