When you marry someone, you also marry the history in which they were raised. I’ll give you an example. Obama was a product of separated parents and a generational history of broken homes. Michelle was a product of healthy family relations where everyone - including extended family - met on Sunday. Because of this, Obama never saw the need for marriage and thought it was overrated because he never had that example growing up. Michelle saw marriage as an important part of life and wanted to reproduce the family tradition she was raised in. In the end, he managed to propose for her sake after pressure from her, and committed to making it work. This means that, while familial history is important as it explains the root of a person’s behaviour, you have to consider the person’s willingness to break that pattern where the behaviour is negative because it takes an astronomical amount of work and courage to disrupt a familiar pattern.
when dating, pleaseeeeeeee get familiar with how your partner was raised. IT MATTERS. hear me clearly.

We are not your mothers🙏🏾
Our mothers worked 8 hours , took taxis, came home and still cooked a full meal for everyone but women of today have a big big problem with cooking. It's the highest level of slavery & misogyny.

You can’t convince me life is just a series of coincidences. What do you mean Lionel Messi was randomly paired with a five-month-old baby after the baby’s family won a UNICEF raffle for a charity photoshoot while Messi played for Barcelona… and that baby grew up to be Lamine Yamal? Lamine would go on to become one of the brightest young stars in soccer, wear the same No. 19 Messi wore for the same team when that photo was taken, and now, nearly two decades later, could face Messi in a World Cup Final???????
So this could turn out to be a World Cup final.

Generally, always date someone who is a little scared of you. Be very clear about what you can tolerate or not, especially at the beginning of the relationship. The way you start off a relationship is how the other person will treat you. Speak highly of your family. There is a level of rubbish someone wouldn’t try with you when they already know you come from a no-nonsense family. If you were treated horribly in your previous relationship, do not mention it. Always speak highly of how you were treated anytime such a conversation comes up. People tend to treat you according to the standards you have set for yourself, and even without realizing it, they want to surpass them. Every woman I have been with, from the beginning, I always set out standards, boundaries, and my non-negotiables, and it sets the tone of the relationship. You see them fall in line. For example, I’m so big on respect and my family. Even as I joke, you know you can’t disrespect me. The day you do, you already know the consequence is the end of the relationship, and no matter how you apologize, I won’t give you another chance. So yeah, especially for men, make sure you are with a woman who fears you to some extent. Someone who, even in your absence, when they bring up some silly ideas, knows they can never work on you. “Is it Kosi? He is very stubborn; he won’t fall for this” is better than, “Is it Kosi? Leave him for me, I know how to handle him.” A woman will test your resolve to see how weak and stupid you can be, then she will unleash. Even as a joke, once a woman says something silly, caution her immediately. She is not necessarily joking; she is testing the waters.
Dating a man who’s just a little scared of you is underrated. He’ll think twice before acting foolish.

the sexiest thing a man can do is learn you. not just love you, but understand you, know how to show up for you, recognize your silence, remember the little things, and make you feel seen. It's never about grand gestures; it's about being intentional in the ways that matter most

Hadn’t seen my boyfriend in over a week, and when we finally sat down for dinner, he pulled out a piece of paper and said, “I’ve got so much tea to spill that I wrote it all down so I wouldn’t forget anything.” 😭😂
