“The (California) bill passed both chambers without a single “no” vote. While Certor (@vicispro & @schuttsports ) stood in support of that choice, Riddell was the only registered party to oppose the bill.”
They opposed legislation that will help make football safer - especially for families that choose to take extra steps to help improve their children’s chances of being safer.
The industry that I’ve worked so passionately in and love so dearly has no place for manufacturers or “subject matter experts” who don’t want to prioritize the full scope of advancing safety.
California is putting more decisions about protective equipment in the hands of youth football players and their parents.
Championed by Assemblymember Avelino Valencia, Assembly Bill 708 ensures youth tackle football players can use safety equipment, including soft-shell helmet add-ons, while protecting families from having a helmet warranty or safety certification voided solely because a soft-shell cover was attached.
Certor Sports proudly supported the bill from the start, advocating for legislation that keeps these decisions in the hands of parents and athletes.
The bill passed both chambers without a single “no” vote. While Certor stood in support of that choice, Riddell was the only registered party to oppose the bill.
We’re proud to have supported this legislation and helped expand choice for youth football families across California.

The best protection starts with the right fit.
The @schuttsports F7 AiR is rated 5 stars by Virginia Tech and features the first integrated onboard AiR-Lock System, allowing athletes to adjust their fit on demand without a handheld pump.
Protection that performs. Fit that adapts.

🔥HOT NEW ITEM🔥
The Gripper Pad is taking off. This stationary dummy is a great tool to teach athletes to leverage their hips, explode their lower body, and wrap their arms while tackling.
Great for year round coaching!!

We choose to come up with safer & more innovative solutions to create the best helmets in the game. They apply band aides to their old products just to get them back to 5 ⭐️’s. DM me to find out more about helmet testing and why scores mean even more than the stars. #noziptiesrequired @schuttsports #F7takeover
Don’t settle for less protection at a higher price. The F7 AiR Youth Elite sets the standard with 2x better performance than the SpeedFlex ND6 in the Virginia Tech Helmet Ratings while weighing 0.4 lbs less. Get yours at schuttsports.com

This isn’t a flex. It’s the standard. Choose what protects you, not what’s handed to you.
