Delighted to see Sr Lynne Baron (in the red jacket!) at this event in Liverpool. One of the Sisters welcomed by Her Majesty to Clarence House in July. Wonderful to see that engagement continuing, and the recognition it brings to the work of women religious in the UK and worldwide

NOW: Pope Leo makes a point of mentioning the role of women in Turkish society: "Women, in particular, through their studies and active participation in professional, cultural and political life, are increasingly placing themselves at the service of your country and its positive influence on the international scene. We must greatly value, then, the important initiatives in this regard, which support the family and the contribution that women make toward the full flowering of social life."

Yesterday, @wucwo hosted an excellent event on women and forced migration. There were so many moving testimonies, including from our own @jeanettececilia, who highlighted the experiences of women migrants in Ukraine, Bangladesh and Venezuela. #CaritasforWomen #CSW69 @iamCARITAS
Msgr Formica from @HolySeeUN emphasised the need to protect women from commodification which drives human trafficking, and to advocate for systemic change with a human-centred approach. #CaritasforWomen #CSW69 @iamCARITAS @wucwo
Each speaker spoke about the fundamental importance of listening to the voices and experiences of migrant women and the need to strengthen collaboration - no entity can do this alone. @wucwo @iamCARITAS #CSW69 #CaritasforWomen
It’s a misty morning here in New York, but the work goes on! We attended a compelling session this morning on harnessing #AI for women’s empowerment. “Equity must be engineered, not assumed.” #CSW69 #CaritasforWomen
Our @iamCARITAS #CSW69 delegation is growing! @jeanettececilia has arrived 🤩 We had a great meeting with @wucwo this morning, and we’re looking forward to a busy few days ahead! #CaritasforWomen
Today’s #CSW69 highlights include sunshine, @CCharitiesUSA @gloria_purvis’s inspirational advocacy for black women’s maternal healthcare at @HolySeeUN event, and successful strategies for securing women’s leadership by @KenyaGovernors Women’s Caucus. #CaritasforWomen @iamCARITAS
What a first day at #CSW69! Great to meet @FaithtoActionet in the morning to talk about interfaith dialogue for women’s empowerment, before heading over to the UN for some fantastic events. Such a vibrant atmosphere here, just look at those beautiful headdresses! #CaritasforWomen
A real highlight of the day was meeting the inspirational Sr Veronica who works with Nigerian Christian and Muslim faith leaders to promote women’s participation in peacebuilding. #CaritasforWomen #CSW69
I’m excited to be back at the UN in New York for #CSW69. This year feels more important than most to promote and ensure women’s empowerment, inclusion, rights and safe participation in society at all levels. #CaritasforWomen #AccelerateAction @iamCARITAS
