🚨 New meta-analysis! Can L-carnitine help reduce post-workout muscle damage?🏋️♂️
📚14 RCTs. Here's what they found:
↓ Myoglobin, soreness ⟷LDH/Lactate
🧠Bottom line: L-carnitine may support recovery, but more research is needed on performance effects.

If you want to be strong(er) then by all means lift heavy stuff. If it's not your goal then lift whatever you want with reasonably high degree of effort.
It doesn't always have to be heavy and perhaps, training goal dependent, it doesn't need to ever be heavy!

Repeat after me: when hypertrophy is equivalent (high(er) load versus low(er) loads) the difference in 'strength' gain is a function of practice!
In unpracticed tasks, or when people in low(er) load can practice heavy then strength gains are the same!
