A basic design problem: Why do things have to be the way that they are?

Only they can tell you if that’s the case…
Well I guess I’ve always sort of treated it like, I did my part by contacting them and registering my new place. So it’s on them to sort it out… but I guess that’s not what you want to do 😅
Have you registered wherever you live now? Sometimes they base it off of DMV records which might fix everything…

Anyone who says an app on your phone is “critical to humanity” fundamentally doesn’t understand human needs…

I mean, it’s alright… I guess… 🤷‍♀️
Can I ask a dumb question? What exactly about Twitter is “critical to humanity”?

Yeah. It has some basic Chinese seasonings, stuff that I would add regardless — garlic, ginger, chicken stock, scallions. But then I add other ingredients depending on what I feel like having. It’s pretty versatile.

It’s good. It’s nice to have a big pot cuz I can keep eating it and change up the additions when I want a different taste. It’s also very cheap to make. Rice is the main ingredient. Basically just rice and water.

Mine is a little more brown because it also has soy sauce and oyster sauce in it. But that’s how I like it.

Then you can add some chicken stock and ginger, garlic and scallions, salt & pepper. Actually a very good way to get over many illnesses is to eat a very plain 粥 that has a good amount of ginger in it. It’s easy to digest and the ginger helps fortify you.

粥 is basically rice porridge. So think of like, oatmeal but rice instead of oats, and it’s savory, not sweet. I don’t want to post my secret techniques on here, but the traditional way is to cook rice for a long time until the rice really softens and the starch thickens it.

I accidentally made i big pot of 粥 (juk1 - congee, for you heathens 😏) and it’s the greatest thing to have now that the season is changing…

They say that but then complain if Asian people microwave fish at the office.

When you look at a plastic container, you may notice it bears the familiar “chasing arrows” recycling symbol — but that doesn’t mean it can be recycled. 🧵grist.org/accountability/380…

USGS said it was a 5.1 near Seven Trees, CA which is south east of San Jose.
Sometimes it’s a big truck that goes by that shakes the house but this was definitely different…

People pointing out that Adidas had historic connections to Nazi Germany might be surprised by other German brands. It also doesn’t mean that they are *still* run by fascists. Which is also ironic given what’s actually happening in the US right now.
