Most "AI features" are an LLM, a prompt, and a JSON parser...
For deciding things, you don't need an LLM. You need a judgment. Jev from TypeSafe does exactly that: ask it a question, and it gives an answer with a probability
Introducing hunch: turns Jev into plain functions:
is this review angry?
which of these 20 drafts is best?
what's the total on this invoice?
did the agent make that up?
One item or a whole spreadsheet. You get the answer and how sure it was.

i get that building a game is hard, but every launch it's the same thing: people get early access and the showcase is "it made a playable game." y'all are in such a rush for a cool demo that nobody stops to show one real, genuinely useful thing it can do
Jev is the best AI decision maker I've used, but using the sdk felt like filling out a form: build the state, build the question, dig the answer out of the response
Introducing: hunch.
Ask it something about one thing or ten thousand things, get the answer back, plus how sure it was
Classify, score, check, pick, rank. Do cool shit.

Thank you @typesafeai @CompleteSkeptic - Jev has been groundbreaking!
Fed @typesafeai's Jev the worst freight paperwork I could make: dodgy scans, typos, unsigned PODs.
13 docs sorted in 4.8 seconds for $0.0007. It caught everything I planted and held the bad jobs automatically
Classifiers are back baby.
Proud to be an early member of on.design. Thank you @semihdotcom for the invite. The talent level here is insane, gotta keep stepping my game up!
A side benefit of the on.design posts from people is that I am finding a ton of new and interesting designers to follow here on X.
Will follow when I’m in the platform, but in the last week my feed has gotten significantly better.
Is there a recent.design for mac apps / open source tools specifically? Feels like there is so many good stuff posted and it gets lost.
