“Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.” - Voltaire Here is what Muhammad made Muslims believe: Allah has a cosmic brothel in paradise with trillions of white virgins with large breasts waiting for Muslims to spend eternity having sex with them, and each orgasm lasts 72 years. Satan pees in your nose if you do not wake up for the dawn prayer. The Quran is a miracle that no one can produce anything like, yes, the same book that allowed Muhammad to marry his daughter-in-law and prohibited adoption to make that work, and the same book that commands Muslims to strike disbelievers on the neck and behead them. All non-Muslims are plotting against Islam. Muhammad’s donkey was a talking donkey, and it told Muhammad that it was a descendant of the donkey that accompanied Noah on the Ark. I could probably think of 10,000 things like this that Muslims believe. And while I acknowledge that even the Bible contains stories that may be seen as just as absurd, the Bible does not build a fear-based system that endlessly incites hatred and violence. Muhammad was able to make Muslims believe absurdities, and that explains how he was able to make them commit atrocities for 1,400 years.
