في طريق العودة من جسر الشغور إلى دمشق، كانت قوافل العائدين من المخيمات تسير كأنها مواكب حياة لأرواح تُولد من جديد، وجوه تملؤها البهجة رغم الدمار الذي خلّفته الحرب، بيوتٌ مهدمة لكنها عامرة بالذكريات والكرامة، بين أنقاض الحجارة، تنبض حكايات شعب دفع أغلى ما يملك ثمناً للحرية والكرامة.
