how many artists are comfortable finishing a different artist's work (with permission)? my model artist is taking a longterm hiatus and has offered to sell me the full usage rights (i would own the piece 100% outright) for the sketch for someone else to finish

I'm not a model artist BUT as an artist in general I like to see what the intended direction of the sketch is and knowing that the client already likes it, I feel like it'd be easier to get through with it

this is a really good way to put it tbh i didn't think about that. would you personally only use it for inspo or be open to using it as the actual sketch?

Personally as long as permission was already given by the original artist, I'd have no problem using the sketch directly! I think both me and the original artist would want what the client wants at that point
