Dear President Donald Trump, @POTUS As a patriotic citizen of the Republic of Korea, I am writing to urgently request your attention and support. President Yoon Suk-yeol remains imprisoned while facing what we believe to be a politically motivated show trial. This is not merely an internal political matter. The U.S.–South Korea alliance and the security of the entire Indo-Pacific region are at stake. America must act before it is too late. President Trump, you have repeatedly spoken about the importance of election integrity. Concerns and allegations of election irregularities have been raised in Korea, Brazil, and the United States. These concerns deserve serious, transparent, and independent investigation. From Korea’s June 3 elections, to Brazil’s October 25 presidential election, and the United States’ November 3 midterm elections, we must work together to examine these allegations and ensure that the integrity of democratic elections is protected. I earnestly ask you to support cooperation between those working to investigate election-related irregularities in South Korea and the United States, including information-sharing and, where appropriate, a joint investigation. I also respectfully urge you to meet with Hwang Kyo-ahn, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea and leader of the Freedom and Innovation Party, who has been actively raising concerns about election integrity. Your attention and decisive leadership could make a meaningful difference. Please do not turn away from the people of South Korea who are calling for freedom, justice, and democracy. America must stand with the people of South Korea before it is too late. Thank you, Mr. President.
