My book has launched! Entanglement: Navigating Complexity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. I've created a free ebook that gives you an outline of each chapter of the book. However you’ll need to visit LinkedIn to access it. linkedin.com/posts/marigoraf…

I repeat: Pro-extinctionism is ubiquitous in Silicon Valley, embraced and promoted by some of the most powerful people in the world--individuals who are actively determining our collective future. For tons of examples, see my article below:
STUNNING: Elon Musk is backing away from being a humanity-first "speciesist." 😱 He's warming up to Larry Page's view that AI should run the future: "There've been a few times where I've thought, 'yeah, maybe Larry Page was right'... I hope the AI is nice to us."

GenAi developers like, Jason who works at Anthropic, pretend like they were forced to build bad tech. And now that their irresponsible actions are clear and felt in full force, he blames everyone else, while still demanding to be a part of the solution? True Psychopath shit.

"I can't believe we are having this debate. AI models are not alive, conscious, sentient, or any other word that describes having autonomy" Read on:
I can't believe we are having this debate. AI models are not alive, conscious, sentient, or any other word that describes having autonomy. I think the biggest reason why so many people are deceived into believing this is because they don't understand how AI models work. They are nothing but statistical calculators. When you type in a prompt that prompt is broken down into tokens, which are numerical values of partial words. That string of tokens is then compared to parameters within the transformer cloud. Then a statistical algorithm is performed to determine what the most likely response would be. The token response is then converted back into words. At no point in time did the AI model even understand your question. It just performed a statistical math problem. The illusion of consciousness, or life or whatever else you want to call it, comes entirely from the user's projection. AI models are trained on human content. When humans write stuff they express their own autonomy within their writing. So when an AI model uses a statistical algorithm to determine the most likely response, that response mimics what it's been trained on. Not because the machine is intelligent but because it has been trained to copy what intelligent people write. An AI model is no more conscious than an NPC walking down the street in GTA. They just mimic people. But ultimately they're nothing more than a computer program doing exactly what they were programmed to do. They are not alive now and they will never be alive.

If anyone would like to read by essay on Cute Authoritarianism - how human surveillance is sold to us with cute imagery - you can find it here. (It's also been published in the anthology Media Realities by Routledge.) ewanmorrison.substack.com/p/…
Meta's business has gone deeper into surveillance and personal data harvesting - not just of users but of their contacts. In the spirit of "cute authoritarianism" this new surveillance net has a mascot called "jolly".

I made the mistake of participating in this terrible film. They platform eugenist cult leaders who know zero about "AI" like Yudkowsky & its propaganda. Watch Ghosts in the Machine instead: imdb.com/title/tt39150080/ See Emily M. Bender's review: buttondown.com/maiht3k/archi…
As the development of artificial intelligence accelerates, more voices inside and outside the industry are warning that the technology poses major risks to humanity. The new film, "The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist," features interviews with leading AI executives, researchers, as well as critics, who all voice similar concerns. “I’m really scared, and I’m struggling in my own life to sort of compartmentalize what I learned, what I know, what I understand, what I see happening around me,” says filmmaker Daniel Roher. democracynow.org/2026/10/8/t…
