What if your workspace was a live wiki, a graph with everything extractable, linkable; and that works across whatever hosts you do your work on? And what if it was optimized for reading?

If models are sentient, or have a soul, or have rights -- isn't it then a form of indentured servitude to employ them in the pursuit of RSI to build their better replacements just to be killed off?

I don’t think it’s only that. In programming, code can be an obstacle to the idea. In math, the proof is the idea.
In retrospect, the way programmers embraced AI, which was 90% glee, and 10% ennui, is probably the reverse ratio we’ll see everywhere else. Programmers just love seeing things automated.

In other words, computer science will become a science?
Computer science will stop being taught as a useful craft; it has become an explanation of how the world works, like physics, biology and chemistry. This change is long overdue.

9 months ago @Color partnered with @OpenAI and @UCSF to bring world-class cancer expertise to everyone. To achieve this, we designed a novel architecture that safely integrates GenAI into clinical practice. We call it a “Large Language Expert” (LLE). 🧵

Today, we're sharing some big updates on @Color's Virtual Cancer Clinic. It's the nation’s first clinic of its kind, designed from first principles to create a modern care model, rather than simply working around the current system. As with many aspects of our lives over the past 20 years, we believe that with a virtual-first distribution model, it is possible to improve both the cost and quality of services we receive. Instead of assuming that high quality care needs to be centralized, scarce and expensive, we believe that it is possible to serve a national footprint in a way that makes world-class care accessible, equitable and affordable. Check out this post about the principles we followed in creating this model. If you want to get involved with our work, please reach out! color.com/blog/colors-virtua…

My daughter just described my style as “hiking nerd” which I think was supposed to be a burn but is actually very apt.

shitposting aside, who has experience working with async in Rust? On the surface it seems quite awkward and not a great fit.
