By pushing pay cuts and refusing to discuss any of our key issues, Treasury Board has given us no choice but to take strike votes for PA, TC, and EB members.

BC election data shows 52% of voters stayed home.
Global data shows all things being equal proportional elections have higher turnout than systems built solely on single-winner-ridings, because proportional representation means everyone feels they have a voice.

You can't blame this loss on Green 'vote splitting'
1. The BC NDP called the early election, so that's 100% on them
2. The Greens support Proportional Representation, so they actually want to fix this system
3. The ONLY vote splits in recent memory were right-wing Liberals splitting the vote in 2011 Federally, and in 2018-2024 Ontario.
4. The BC CON win was so big, even a collapsed Green vote wouldn't have mattered.
The left doesn't split votes: Liberals do, and moderates are the ones who elect right-wing governments.

Two of the biggest fuckups in Canadian political history all in the last few weeks
First the CAQ gets wiped out after breaking an electoral reform promise that would have saved their party
Then Dave Eby called an unnecessary election that pissed off an entire province instantly

Precisely. At moments like this, when we see an elected leader try to un-engineer something that blew up in their face & for which they were complicit & a contributing factor, it's imp we remember they aren't deities & they can be manipulative & we shouldn't return them to power.

We know how much it matters to live in a country where our rights are protected, where the law applies equally to everyone, and where the majority canât just decide that some people donât deserve the same freedoms. The safety and freedom weâve found in America didnât happen by accident. They exist because of democracy. And protecting democracy means protecting Jewish safety, too.
We know what happens when those protections start to break down. When courts are weakened, elections are undermined, and people lose equal protection under the law, minorities are often the first to pay the price. Jews have seen this throughout our history. Itâs one of the reasons so many of our families sought refuge in democratic countries.
Thatâs why I find it so alarming to see whatâs happening right now. When masked government agents are taking people off the streets and citizens are being shot in public, we should all be worried about where things are headed. As Jews, we know that when a government starts targeting certain groups of people, no one should assume theyâre safe from what comes next.
Mike Rogers has chosen to align himself with a movement that is willing to attack our democracy. He stood with Trump and refused to accept the results of the 2020 election. And now weâre seeing what happens when a political movement treats the rights and dignity of certain people as disposable. For Jews, these things should set off alarm bells.
Jewish safety is tied to the health of our democracy. We canât protect one without protecting the other. And in this Senate race, Abdul is the candidate who understands that and is willing to fight for it.

Canada has opposed the U.S. embargo on Cuba for decades. But its recent abstention at the UN raises serious concerns about whether we're bowing to pressure from Trump.
Canada must stand firm.
