For #FullSailHOF students this week, here’s the amazing doc that @FlorianArdelean put together. linkedin.com/pulse/bible-get…
I worked on two Turn 10 games over the years. I had a blast. Very bummed to read this news, as much as I love Horizon as well.

AI developers are now calling for a slowdown, concerned about dangers to the human race.
All I wanted was affordable RAM and all I got was this stupid Skynet.
More details about the Xbox Disc to Digital program. Clearly they're using unique serial numbers on the discs to make this work. OG Xbox and 360 discs don't have these IDs so I'm skeptical this will happen for those libraries.
This may sound like a crazy take, I don't know, but I've been playing 007 First Light and really enjoying it. I think Patrick Gibson should be cast as the next film Bond. He's the perfect age, able to carry the role for a couple of decades.

So incredibly proud of @AudioBlondio and the whole Audio crew responsible for the work detailed in this video. youtube.com/watch?v=Ts-ISMz4…
This is your occasional reminder that way too many of you slept on Nikoderiko: The Magical World. Such a fun game.

Miyamoto on why Nintendo receives global support:
“So, the reason Nintendo enjoys such strong global support is simply that we don’t start by asking: ‘What’s trending right now?’ Instead, we focus on who we’re actually doing this for. Who is it that’s putting up the money? I really dislike terms like ‘depreciation’ or ‘recouping costs.’ The people funding these projects are doing it to make a fortune, so why celebrate things like ‘we recouped our investment’ or short-term profits? To me, if you’ve burned through the talents of so many people just to achieve that, that feels like a massive failure.
We’ve always focused on creating the best possible product to match the ‘fun gameplay’ we envision. I think that’s the only real difference. I might sound a bit arrogant saying this [laughs], but if you make things while constantly asking ‘will this make money right away?’ you can’t create anything truly unique or with broad appeal.
The ideal relationship between us and the company is one where you get comments like ‘I’m so glad I asked you to do this – it took some time, but we made a huge profit.’ Ultimately, it all comes down to whether we can keep that going.
After all, the most ‘local’ things – like an individual’s personal hobbies – are often the ones that resonate globally. Conversely, if you try to base your work on things that only seem to have broad appeal, you end up with something generic – something where you can’t tell who actually made it and that kind of thing actually lacks global strength.
That’s why, when people at the company ask me what to do, the only advice I can offer is: ‘You should turn your idea into a product in a way that best showcases the fact that you were the one who created it.”

Last year, Microsoft made $101 billion in profits, got a $12.5 billion tax break from Trump & paid its CEO $96 million.
This year, it’s raising the price of an Xbox by $150 & eliminating 3,200 jobs.
Please don’t tell me corporate tax breaks create jobs. It never trickles down.
A note from us on today's Sony news.

ALT We are profoundly disappointed by Sony's decision to suspend physical games production in 2028. Physical games are vital to games preservation, ownership, and consumer choice, values that have guided iam8bit since our first physical release in 2016. Our commitment to these values remains unchanged. Long live physical media.
And then the next suck will be the impending layoffs. I'm worried about so many friends who may be impacted by this. People with bills, children to feed and care for, etc. This is an awful week for our industry. It's been a rough few years now.
