We are SO relieved to know it’s not because guests feel they’re getting ripped-off every time they reach for an $11 cup of coffee or bottle of water at an MGM Resort.
We have to give LVCVA some credit. Knowing its marketing skills, it could have gone with “Keep Them Floaters.”
The @LVCVA's main focus is promoting Las Vegas for leisure and business travel, but the government agency is also tasked with marketing Laughlin, Mesquite, and Boulder City

We weep whenever any casino closes, but we WILL make an exception for this particular one. It just needs to go. It’s had at least a zillion lives and, except for its stint as San Remo, none of them have lasted long.
We stayed there way, way back when; we were 20 and it was called The Treasury. It was a dump back then; nothing’s changed.
We don’t necessarily believe a place has good luck or bad luck, but there IS something weird about this place. Do you have an Oyo-branded motel in your town? Yes, that’s also a piece of garbage. We laughed when this brand purchased the joint; some folks were bragging about how it was supposedly the world’s second-largest chain of whatevers. We’ve been a travel professional for years, and we had never heard of this pathetic brand.
Losing the ability to sell alcohol? In Las Vegas? C’mon. Just go away.
Bacchanal Buffet at #14? Hilarious!
Saw this show for only the first time a year ago. Have seen it again since. It's terrific; sexy AND fun.
A terrific “read”; check it out!

This and a second video have been all over my feed today. Many are annoyed. My thoughts can be summarized in one word:
Adorable !
I also visited Circus Circus for the first time in 15+ years not that long ago. It was midweek, so just as busy as in the video. I’m glad the place is still around, but management needs to do more to bring it back from the brink.
First off, as anyone who’s been knows, THE Steak House is excellent, one of the last vestiges of old school Vegas. I highly recommend it, and those new “Happy Hour” specials are great values. As to the property’s other restaurants? There are none. No coffee shops (i.e., casual dining) where one can go for breakfast and lunch. The buffet, which has never been great, is open (very) limited weekend hours.
Bring back the cool things that made the property great - the Pink Pony Coffee Shop, the rotating Horse-A-Round Bar (now a rarely open snack bar), etc. There’s even a showroom that’s been closed (and hidden) for roughly five decades - bring it back with some fun shows. There’s room for that kitsch, and Circus Circus should be the place for it.
Everybody says they want old Vegas back… so apparently I found it. 😂
Tuesday morning after Labor Day and Circus Circus is so empty it feels like going into the office on a Saturday.
Just you and the janitors.
But the longer I walked around, the more I started wondering:
What exactly is wrong with this place?
There’s a buffet. Krispy Kreme. Free circus acts. Adventuredome. Games of skill. Cheap rooms. Cheap gambling. An old-school steakhouse serving $100 steaks.
The sports bar even has big lounge chairs.
So apparently civilization has not completely collapsed. 😂
No, this isn’t Bellagio.
You’re probably not coming here to flex status, impress a client or get photographed walking into the hottest restaurant in town.
You come here to play Vegas.
Get a cheap room. Gamble. Eat. Drink. Wander around. Ride something ridiculous. Maybe disappear into a steakhouse that still feels like 1987.
And Circus Circus is still one of those wonderfully old-school casinos where finding the exit apparently was never part of the architectural brief.
I wandered around long enough that eventually seeing daylight felt like a genuine breakthrough.
Here’s the funny part:
Everybody wants old-school Vegas prices…
…but nobody really wants old-school Vegas rooms, mattresses and food.
We want the $59 room with the plush bed, gourmet dinner, giant TV, perfect Wi-Fi, modern bathroom and great service.
That math gets complicated.
Circus Circus might basically be Vegas for the Griswolds — cheap, weird, slightly tacky and pretty unapologetic about it.
And honestly?
That’s kind of the charm.
Maybe old Vegas isn’t gone.
Maybe we just stopped choosing it.
And on a Tuesday morning, apparently you can choose almost all of it for yourself. 😂🎪
Another executive reportedly said, “We’re raising prices and bogus fees as quickly and, as much as possible and, yet, tourists are STILL not returning!”
Las Vegas resort executives met with President Donald Trump this week in the Oval Office to talk about the slump in international travel, a factor in depressed tourism numbers over the past year and a half. #8NN 8newsnow.com/news/local-news…
I wish they would have kept this theatre; it was an absolute classic.
OTD 2000 the iconic Circus Maximus showroom inside Caesars #LasVegas held its final show with Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé. The 800 seat showroom (expanded to 1200 later) opened with Andy Williams on August 5, 1966. It defined early Las Vegas nightlife with major headliners and star-studded productions. Initially plans were to renovate but a deal with Celine Dion led to scrapping the plans. Instead they demolished the showroom and Omnimax and built The Colosseum.
To absolutely no one’s surprise, the promotion has ended (very) early. @VitalVegas
Great ranking of casinos and their average table minimums. The Mehaffey’s always do terrific research!
We used our data to determine the cheapest and most expensive Las Vegas casinos for table games. Jerry's Nugget tied with Oyo for the cheapest. Wynn is the most expensive. See our list ranking all 68 casinos in the market here: vegasadvantage.com/cheapest-…
We never thought we’d see the day, but it’s finally happened.
Circus Circus has updated its website.

Predictions, folks, on how much longer Westgate’s SuperBook will be around in its present form?
