I like to think I’m a reasonable person who doesn’t get into hyperbole too often… but this is seriously Trump-ish voter suppression from the Tories. They aren’t even subtle about it. They think younger people won’t vote for them, so their plan is just to stop them voting at all.
Long-awaited details of the government’s voter ID scheme have now been released, including details of which IDs will be accepted at the polling station. The list contains plenty of options for older voters, but few for younger voters.

The Product Development Managers at the OU are some of the best clients (albeit internal ones) I've ever developed for. If this sounds like it's for you, you'll be in great company.
This is exciting as it's not often we advertise a Senior Product Development Manager role. But if you have the skills and enthusiasm, and want to work at the forefront of online learning in Higher Education in the UK, then we'd love to hear from you.

My line-manager is talking about how they have so many meetings they don't have time for lunch. People, particularly managers: PLEASE don't do this. Don't normalise skipping breaks and skipping meals. These meetings are not life-or-death.

- Next year it will cost you twice as much.
- Congratulations! 🎉 You're on our cheapest tariff.
- Did we mention our record profits? So much profit.

I don’t know anyone who thinks the state can fix all your problems. It’s not unreasonable for people to expect the state not to add to them though.
