Access to production evironments via your cloud provider's web console should be read-only by default. Graphical UIs are great for exploration (e.g. to learn and tune things during dev) and examination, but production changes should only be done in automated and revisioned ways.

Whenever someone tells me it’s a modern approach to do micro services I like to remind people of this.
For 10 years it was modern for many of these NoSQL databases to not do transactions.
Many now are going back to the books from the 1970’s to learn how to fix their databases

Being a programmer is a data-related job as well.
Various ORMs, frameworks & cloud features don't make the SQL a relic of the past. Knowing SQL is not a nice-to-have, it's a must!
