This ♥️ is for @aranoff, and so is the big squishy one in my chest.🫀
Today was my first Canadian snow day! Thanks to @aranoff for introducing me to this beast of a winter.
Tomorrow's experiment is maple syrup taffy on the snow in our backyard.

I'm thankful to @aranoff for introducing me to the tradition of "pumpkin parades" on a recent date night.
The day after Halloween, many folks in Toronto bring their pumpkins to outdoor parks. It's a safe way to bring a community together and share some fun.
Amazing: Mina Hsiang will be the next leader of the U.S. Digital Service. She's experienced, incredibly capable, and cares deeply about the work. I'm so excited for USDS, her, and the future.

Now that I no longer have tons of meetings, it was nice to look through photos of the last two years together with @aranoff. My faves are the silly ones and dog pictures. I hope you get to take some time to reflect on the people and things that make you feel happy today.
At the end of April, I'm stepping down as Administrator of the U.S. Digital Service.
It's such an incredible group of people, and I'm grateful for my time working alongside them. More info: medium.com/the-u-s-digital-s…
Huge congrats to @ClareMartorana on becoming the next Federal CIO. She's kind, empathetic, and cares most about getting good things done for people. I couldn't be more excited about Clare taking on this role.
This the kind of news that hard to explain why it is SO GOOD, so if you don't know @ClareMartorana, just trust me. This is like really really-- no, I mean REALLY -- good. bit.ly/3qAoujA
These fellowships bring technical expertise into Congress, which is hugely important and impactful. I hope that USDS alumni and civic tech folks will consider applying.
#COVID19 turned Congress into a remote institution overnight. But it desperately needs better digital infrastructure to function effectively.
We've launched a Congressional Digital Service Fellowship to help.
Four days left to apply! techcongress.io/congressiona…
We could really use 1-2 amazing content strategists at the U.S. Digital Service right now. If you know that person (or are that person!), please get them to apply: usds.gov/apply

It's a really high-impact way to raise the tech savviness of Congress, which is incredibly important.
