Here is my simple resolution for 2025. I just want to be better in 2025 than I was in 2024 in 5 key areas: 🙏 Spiritually 👪 Relationally 💪 Physically 🧠 Intellectually 🪙 Financially I'll look to post at least once a day on something from one of the areas above.

SLC based Diamond Million Miler @Delta this sentiment is real Your WiFi is terrible
I’m an Utah native and enjoying the new SLC airport. Closing in on becoming a 2 million miler in my mid 40’s. I choose Delta 90% of the time. The internet is next level bad. Fighting a better experience for all of your customers because of a personal beef is ridiculous.

Million Miler Diamond Medallion here 👋 Agreed
.@Delta is dead last for business travelers. Wi-Fi is not a luxury but a necessity. Wi-Fi on Delta is pathetic compared to every other airline. I’ve flown 5 1/2 million miles on Delta, and a Diamond Medallion, and otherwise love the airline, but this needs to change. @Starlink

Replying to @Delta
@Delta 👋 Diamond Million Miler here. You know what’s not cool? Changing the departure time on your app to show a flight delayed by 30 minutes (which means I adjust my schedule to the airport accordingly) and then an hour before the flight you change it back to its original time.

Update @Delta New flight delayed even more. You wanna at least try and make this better and get me a car to transfer me in ATL so I don’t have to spend the night in ATL with my 2.5 year old and 31 week pregnant wife, with no luggage? Highly doubt I’m able to make it 4 terminals in 25 minutes.

Update @Delta Missed our flight for that. Thanks. Women at BHM helped me get on next flight. Appreciate the stress today.

Update @Delta New flight is delayed. Might miss connecting flight. Absolutely awesome to deal with when traveling with a 2.5 year old. Legit question. How can people trust your delayed times if, at any point, you can just change it early?

Jack Hughes, winning goal scorer, with an absolutely perfect post game interview. “I love my country.” This is all we want from our national team athletes, just love the country as much as we do. Fantastic:

First gold medal in 46 years for the US on the anniversary of the 1980 win. This is badass. The sudden death winner.

Legacy is what we set in motion. What will you set in motion for the next 150 years? What will you set in motion for all eternity? David Green “The Legacy Life”

Discipline. The ability to do hard things when no one else will can take you further in life than almost any other attribute. It takes time to develop and build discipline in all areas of your life but it’s well worth it! If you can persevere!

A rebuttal to “DINK” (dual income, no kids) lifestyle that seems to be catching on: You are correct. Having no kids to care for is “easier.” No question. I don’t have many bottomless mimosas brunch dates with these days. But, it’s easier in the way sitting on the couch eating ice cream is easier than going to the gym. It feels easy in the moment, because it is… but 20 years later when you’re 50 pounds overweight, things get hard. Few have ever said a grueling workout is “fun.” It’s not. It sucks. But how you feel AFTER you’ve achieved is what makes it worth it. That’s being a parent. Sure, there will be epic tantrums and you will sacrifice much of your instant gratification for their happiness. You’ll feel depleted, like you’ve got nothing left, when suddenly your child will look at you and say something like: “I’m so lucky God gave me a daddy like you.” Your battery suddenly recharges to 100% - it keeps you going. And in those moments—the good ones—you’ll realize that there is more happiness and contentment to be found in THEIR joy than you ever found in your own. This is a wild realization — and an important one. And you’ll be willing to give up even more of what you “want” to see that joy shine through them again. It’s also a significant part of your legacy that when you die, you’ve left God-fearing, people-loving human beings behind who are capable of making the world a little brighter. This is PURPOSE. It’s why God created the family. I’m just trying to point out that doing the thing that is “easier” is hardly ever the thing that is best for you in the long term. Maybe in the short term, living for only yourself feels worth it. But when you’re 60 years old and you’ve finally figured out what actually matters in life… you’re going to want grandchildren running around while you sit in your rocking chair. You’re going to want to see the humans you raised loving their own families and carrying on a bloodline legacy - and hopefully correcting some of your own parenting mistakes. To the *vast majority* of people who read this, trust me… Get married. Have kids. Lead them to Jesus. Win.

The more self discipline you implement in your life, the more above average you become. Extreme self discipline will make you elite.

Sit around and watch tv all weekend? Or, learn a new skill, read a new book, workout…literally anything to grow. I’m not saying tv is bad. I love a good college football weekend. But, do one thing to help you grow this weekend.

There are 70 days till January 1, 2026. Most people wait till New Years to make their resolutions but why wait. You have 70 days to put the work in now to set yourself up for massive success in 2026. Build the foundation. Every day. Every day counts. Don't look back on January 1 and say "I wish I would have....". Small actions + consistency over time = biggest results

Lead your family to church on Sundays. The decision for Sunday morning is made on Saturday night.

Don’t wait for life to slow down before you start making progress. Every day is a new chance to get better, even if it’s a small step. Some days will feel slow, some will fly by, but what matters is that you show up and do something meaningful, no matter the pace. Add a little gratitude and intention, and watch how your life begins to change.
