January 2 is a special date in my life. While I was born on November 21, in many ways I feel like today is the birthday to the new life that was formed when I learned I had leukemia at the age of 15.

Hey all! Yesterday’s surgery was a success and I’m feeling great already!

All the tv news networks are running the funeral for a monarchy we ousted and basically doing little or nothing on Puerto Rico. Which has been devastated in a storm.
In less than 24 hours, I'm going to be on an OR table with a neurosurgeon cutting into my brain. In the last 2 weeks, my long-ago life as a childhood leukemia survivor reached out and grabbed hold again, the radiation from 1991 that saved me then, forming a tumor now.
5 years ago today, I got a pair of Nike Free RNs from @ProjectOutrun and on the back, they said "There is no finish line." I wanted that there because of my leukemia battle. Clearly I had forgotten, but no more.

If it were me, and I was trying to push back against being labeled“extreme,” I wouldn’t use taxpayer money to kidnap innocent children from a state I am not the governor of and fly them and their parents to an island in another state in which I am also not the governor.

Do I have this right, Colin Kaepernick lost his job for taking a knee for justice, but Brett Favre took money from social programs to fund his daughter’s gym?

Ted Cruz is proving a point I made in my article. When places like Martha’s Vineyard prove they can be compassionate to immigrants, the fascists will just try to ship humans to to somewhere else.
Because the point isn’t to *solve* a problem, it’s to make one.

Just so it’s clear, Colin Kaepernick never helped to create a criminal scheme to steal millions of dollars in welfare funds from a state to have a stadium built for himself or his loved ones, but Brett Favre did.

I remember how folks stepped up to help Texans when you left them cold and hungry during the freeze.
We will welcome these families too. They have so much to offer.
You do seem to be struggling at your job, though. Maybe you should consider if this is the right work for you.
This morning, two Texas buses of migrants arrived at the Naval Observatory in DC.

So if I’m understanding this correctly DeSantis hired a woman named Perla to prowl the streets of San Antonio, lure migrants onto a plane under false pretenses of a trip to Boston and expedited work visas, and then dropped them in Martha’s Vineyard
