We're more familiar with R0 figures post Covid, and here's a useful comparison for some common viruses from Chris Chase, highlighting that having a #BVD PI in the herd means effectively 100% of animals need to be protected to ensure herd immunity #WBCMexico

Bart Pardon kicking off the European Buiatrics Congress in Berlin. Highlighting that 28-51% of calves have subclinical BRD. Detected using US, or failing that, coughing is 60% accurate in detecting lung consolidation. 1 cough is enough! #EBC #BRD

What horribly sad news. Carl supported me as a school student looking for work experience in Lancaster right through to my time on BCVA Council. A passionate Lancastrian, who was always giving back to society.
BCVA Past President, Carl Padgett was a cherished friend to many, a supportive colleague, and an invaluable leader in the veterinary profession. His passing has left us deeply saddened, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to all those whose lives he touched.

Great work @GwareduBVD and all those involved 👏 The goal of eradication is becoming closer!
📣 85% of herds in #Wales screened for #BVD through Gwaredu BVD from 2017 – 2022. 👉 Essential in achieving this Wales-wide participation was industry collaboration and support. Find a full list of our partners here: buff.ly/3xFXRQq #partnershipworking #industryled

A day of two major life memories. Starting with the disappointment of queuing for 8.5 hours throughout the night and running out of time to see Her Majesty lying in state. Followed by successfully graduating at Henley Business School, further up the river, a few hours later.
