My brutally honest advice to someone who wants to make a lot of money. 3 things nobody told you: 1. The only way to make a lot of money is to create a lot of value. No one hands out money. No one is going to pay you just because they like you or think you're cool. Money earned is a direct byproduct of value created. The only way to get rich is to create an enormous amount of value for others, and capture a small portion of that along the way. You create value by doing three things: - Identify problems - Create solutions - Scale those solutions It's not talking about the thing, it's not brainstorming about the thing, it's not asking about the thing, it's not thinking about the thing. The only way to create value is by doing the thing. And if you don't know where to start, look around you. Customers, colleagues, bosses, shareholders, employees. Every single one of them has a problem. What problems can you solve for the people around you? Figure them out, solve them, scale that solution. That's how you make money. 2. You don't need passion, you need energy. I still have no idea what it means to follow your passion. You don't have to be passionate about your professional pursuits, you just need to find energy in them. You just need to feel a pull towards them. You just need to feel that spark of curiosity in them. Passion is usually a byproduct of energy. When you have energy for something, you'll give it your deep attention to learn more. You’ll ask the right questions. You’ll figure it out. You’ll win. Follow your energy. Pursue interesting puzzles. Solve them. 3. You have to demonstrate excellence in everything you do. Your income scales proportional to the amount of excellence that you're able to demonstrate. Strategic incompetence is a lie. You don't get to pick and choose when to show up, because the world will ignore your best and judge you for your worst. Everything matters. Every single thing. Top performers show up with energy and enthusiasm for the little things just as much as they do for the big things. If you're in the top-10% of performers, there's no ceiling for what you can do. But the self-awareness to identify where you currently stack up, and adapt to the honest feedback on it, is very rare. If you're in the top-10%, you know it. If you're not, figure out why and fix it.

Starlink helped save a woman stranded in Colorado’s freezing mountains. A 37-year-old hiker was trapped in deep snow, unable to walk and suffering from cold injuries. With no mobile phone signal, rescuers used Starlink to stay connected to their coordinator throughout the night. She was rescued by helicopter and flown to hospital the next morning. A lifeline from space helped rescuers bring her to safety.

HOPE FOR SUSTAINABLE PEACE Oleshky proves we can raise humanity above war. Together, we can build a peaceful planet, a world of promise for our children.
❗️The moment we had all been waiting for: residents of Oleshky have crossed the border — the humanitarian mission has been successfully completed! This mission was made possible with the assistance and coordination of U.S. @FLOTUS. I would like to thank the First Lady for her humanity, her attention to this issue, her extraordinary compassion, and her personal involvement in every stage of the process. This entire mission was successfully carried out thanks to her involvement. 🤝 My sincere gratitude goes to the President of Ukraine, @ZelenskyyUa, for his personal support of this humanitarian initiative. His attention to the situation in Oleshky and his assistance at the highest level of government were essential to making this humanitarian mission possible. I am also grateful to David Arakhamia for his important role in this humanitarian mission and his support throughout the process. The mission was made possible through the agreement reached with @yana_lantratova, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation. ❗️ We have come a long way — from negotiations and securing the agreement on a ceasefire to delivering humanitarian aid directly to Oleshky and organizing the departure of residents. The ceasefire will remain in effect until November 1, 10:59 p.m. This is the longest ceasefire observed by both sides since 2022. I thank the Ukrainian Defense Forces for their responsible adherence to the ceasefire, which made it possible to carry out this humanitarian mission! It seems that there is hardly anyone who has not been following this unprecedented and historic event. Behind every stage of this operation are the lives of people who have been waiting and hoping. ℹ️ The oldest evacuee is 94 years old, while the youngest is just over one year old! Another woman will celebrate her 49th birthday tomorrow! Let me tell you about one family who were literally fighting for survival in a shell-damaged apartment building in Oleshky. Due to his health condition, the father was unable to make his way down from the eighth floor on his own, as the staircases had been destroyed. It is frightening even to imagine the conditions in which these people were living: they were effectively cut off from access to food and water. But that is now behind them — the family is safe. 👉 There is another story that is equally heartbreaking. A man born in Oleshky survived 16 attacks by Russian drones and four missile strikes on his own home. One of the explosions occurred just one meter from the wall of his house. Along with the residents, we also managed to evacuate their beloved pets: dogs, cats, a parrot, and even a raccoon! The ordeal and uncertainty are behind them. What lies ahead is the chance to recover and finally breathe a sigh of relief after living in constant fear for their lives. ❗️We want the experience of Oleshky to be more than an isolated case. It could become the foundation for a new mechanism for responding to complex humanitarian crises.

Neuralink’s first product is called Telepathy. It enables high-speed communication with computers or humans simply by thinking. Output bandwidth will vastly exceed the fastest human speech or typing in a few years. Read that sentence again.
Our engineers recently visited one of our speech restoration study participants for a 72-hour hackathon. The goal: rapidly prototype as many features as possible to enhance the experience of using Neuralink to communicate with thought. Here are some of the things we built 🧵

Steve Jobs on why marketing is about values: “To me, marketing’s about values. This is a very complicated world. It’s a very noisy world. And we’re not going to get a chance to get people to remember much about us. No company is. So we have to be really clear on what we want them to know about us. ...the Apple brand has clearly suffered from neglect in this area in the last few years, and we need to bring it back. The way to do that is not to talk about speeds and feeds. It’s not to talk about MIPS and megahertz. It’s not to talk about why we’re better than Windows... ...Apple at the core, its core value, is that we believe that people with passion can change the world for the better. And that those people that are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones that actually do.”

My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will: 1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate. 2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority. 3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority. This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word. All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.
