Proudly Associated. Thanks to KIC for yet another opportunity to train the class of #PYPA2026 in various communication skills for young politicians across East Africa. #DigitalFootPrint #OnlineSecurity #Algorithms #AI #content
A large following does not automatically translate into influence, and influence without trust is fragile. Day 9 of the PYPA leadership program explored social media as a political infrastructure and how emerging political leaders can build influence and public trust without compromising their credibility, integrity or security. We examined the five Ws and H before posting: Who is your audience? What is your message? When should you post? Where should you share it? Why does it matter? And how will you tell the story? The starting point is knowing your primary audience and communicating with purpose. We also explored online security and the permanence of our digital footprints. Deleting a post does not guarantee that it disappears forever. One lesson stood out: followers are people who choose to pay attention to your content, but credibility is built through honesty, consistency and responsible communication. The goal is not simply to be followed, but to build influence that earns trust and makes an impact. #PYPA2026 #DigitalLeadership #YouthLeadership

Or if his royalties were paid every time his song is used. By the way do we even have IP laws? I lost track of so many things in this country.
Imagine how different his life would be if we had the mechanisms and the will to turn this creativity into revenue!

It is not “somewhere in Africa” it is in Benin in Ouidah, where a python temple is right opposite a Catholic Church. The place is famous for its deeply rooted Vodun (Voodoo) culture and its sacred relationship with pythons. For some of us, it was simply #Tourism
Somewhere in Africa, a whole community is living alongside snakes. They consider snakes as gods and they even have a festival to celebrate the snake god they call Vodu Dangbe. Children wrap the snakes around their necks without fear as part of their tradition.

Having been part of various teams that implemented #maternalhealth projects in Uganda, in the past, this is what some mothers would say….. -The TBA are closer to us. -They speak our language. -They are not rude nor shout at us. -Our parents gave birth through TBA Etc. Now I 🤷🏾

Join us in Kigali, Rwanda from 17-20 August for #AfPIF2026. The event will be live streamed through our Youtube channel for remote participants. Subscribe 👉 youtube.com/@AfricanIXPs and be part of the conversation. #AfricaPeering
Next week, our team will be in Kigali to attend the African Peering and Interconnection Forum (@AfPIF) alongside network operators, technical experts, policymakers, and civil society. When #AfPIF began in 2010, African Internet traffic often took a detour around the world to reach neighboring countries. Since then, the AfPIF community has done crucial work to advance the infrastructure and interconnection needed to keep more Internet traffic local, helping to reduce costs, improve performance, and strengthen the continent’s digital economy. Today, that same community is working within countries and across borders to strengthen local infrastructure, build economic opportunity, and expand access to affordable, reliable, and resilient Internet. I just listened to “She's My Queen”, a song by Stone Temple Pilots, and this beautiful girl @AremoKimberly came to my mind. At just 20, you are way ahead of so many of your peers. Keep raising our Kole flag high! Happy belated birthday Queen! 🫅
