I turned 56 today. I’ve been reflecting on what (if anything) I have learned in my life that I can tell you that might be of use or interest to you. I’ll spare you the details of the specifics of my history and background and how I got from a poor rural family in India to

People who want to convince you to follow an academic career should stop promoting overworking, not getting enough sleep and showing off with their h-index while telling you that you shouldn’t care about the number of published papers. @PhDVoice

Evade the Machines is an escape game with challenges related to machine learning. You have 30 mins to liberate Luxembourg from #AI. This project was developed by @YAMIZIS from SnT and @jonatortue, with support from @FnrLux Are you up for the challenge? wwwen.uni.lu/snt/news_events…

Not so often do I brag about an accepted paper... but I'm so happy about this one that I cannot stop myself. "FlakiMe: Laboratory-Controlled Test Flakiness Impact Assessment" is now finally accepted at #icse2022! In this paper...

I would like to thank the @ICSEconf reviewers for keeping an open mind and giving us the possibility to clarify the positioning and limits of FlakiMe, through conditional acceptance. And more generally for all comments that have helped us improve the paper.

Thanks also to reviewers who rejected the previous 3 versions of the paper. We have much improved FlakiMe and reflected a lot on your comments. I'd have loved to directly debate on some of our disagreeing PoVs back then. Happy to have anonymous coffee discussions at #icse2022 😉

I'll be having the pleasure to serve as a member of the program committee of IJCAI-ECAI 22. Thanks @lucderaedt and the Associate PC Chairs for the invitation! #IJCAI2022

Huge success for our young yet talented ML research team! Hopefully the 1st of many. We've spent >1 year studying AI/ML research to get the experience to reach this community. Targeting such venues is, to us, the only way to assess the relevance of our research on ML. Congrats!

Question triviale : si l'Etat belge est condamné à payer des astreintes par un tribunal belge à une ONG belge dont la mission est de défendre les intérêts des citoyens belges... l'Etat paie ces astreintes à qui ?_? bit.ly/31wKT7z

Model checking research has lost one of its greatest minds. Science will remember.
My father, Edmund M Clarke, passed away from Covid today. He won the 2007 Turing Award for computer science. While he always had high expectations when it came to academic success, he also taught me to hit baseballs, to fish, and to travel worldwide. I will miss him dearly.

Third paper accepted at TOSEM this year that I co-authored. All three underwent a fast review process, barely longer than a single conference. Reviews were constructive (as opposed to destructive). Thanks @acm_tosem !
Congrats to Castro et al. for their paper "A Formal Framework of Software Product Line Analyses" just accepted at TOSEM!!! Again top-to-bottom acceptance times are less than 6 months!!! #TOSEMfastImpact #goTOSEM
