A Stronger SWAT Team, Thanks to an Incredible Community Supporter!
Today, the LVMPD SWAT Team celebrated the ribbon-cutting of its newly renovated gym, made possible by a generous $50,000 donation from Jay Bloom!
Thanks to Jay’s generosity, the gym has undergone a major transformation, providing our SWAT operators with an upgraded training facility to help them maintain the strength, conditioning, and physical readiness required to serve and protect our community.
During the ceremony, SWAT operators had the opportunity to personally thank Jay for his unwavering support. The team presented him with a special plaque and LVMPD swag bag and even celebrated his upcoming birthday this Saturday! 🎂🎉
Jay, your generosity goes far beyond new equipment and an improved gym. It's an investment in the men and women who put their lives on the line to keep our community safe. On behalf of the entire LVMPD SWAT Team, thank you for your incredible support and commitment to those who serve!

TRUCK CRASHES INTO DISPLAYED BOEING 727-200F IN BRAZIL
An unusual visual on October 24, 2026, when a truck veered off the Raposo Tavares Highway (SP-270) in Regente Feijó, São Paulo state, Brazil, and crashed into a Boeing 727 displayed at the Rodomaster service station.
According to local reports, the truck driver reportedly suffered a sudden medical emergency, lost control of the vehicle, crossed the roadway and broke through the station’s entrance before striking the aircraft.
The collision severely damaged the truck’s cab and the aircraft’s nose and landing gear. The Boeing was reportedly pushed backwards approximately 15 metres by the force of the impact.
The 46-year-old driver became trapped in the wreckage and was freed by emergency responders before being transported to hospital.
Aircraft background: The Boeing 727 is among the aircraft displayed at the roadside station, where retired aircraft serve as a tourist attraction. The aircraft involved was reportedly part of a former cargo fleet.
The collision occurred within the station’s premises. Local reports said the truck’s trajectory was stopped by the aircraft, potentially preventing it from continuing towards a steep embankment behind the property.
