Every dev needs a rubber duck. Mine compiles 🦆 This C code is shaped like a duck and renders a 3D duck floating in your terminal. What should I turn into code next? 🤔

Kimi Antonelli. 20 years old. Youngest F1 world champion ever, sealed in Mexico City yesterday 🏎️🏆 Had to take the black car out in Mexico in the iPhone racing game I built 🇲🇽🏁 Who called it back in March? #F1 #MexicoGP

Happy Halloween 🎃 This C code is shaped like a pumpkin and renders a 3D pumpkin in your terminal. I'm 46 followers away from 500. I post about software engineering, game dev, iOS, and AI agents. Let's connect 🤝

Let's connect 👋 Reply with the first language you ever wrote code in 👇 I'll go first: QuickBASIC. Now mostly Swift, but I do some TypeScript, Kotlin and Zig for fun.

In 2015, I had an interesting task: build a crossword game. The UI was easy. The hard part was the grid: fit 20 words so every crossing shares a letter. I ran my old Swift generator again. 11 years later, I found a word it can never place 👇 #gamedev #iOSDev #Swift

How it works: 1. Sort the words, longest first 2. Try every spot where the next word shares a letter with the grid (red = doesn't fit) 3. Score each spot by its crossings; take the best 4. Repeat 30 times; keep the grid with the most words Code: github.com/maximbilan/iOS-Cr…

The word is SYNCOPATION, from my own README. It's always 2nd in line, and the 1st word always lands on the 2nd row, so SYNCOPATION can only cross it with S or Y. PUMPERNICKEL has neither. I'm bringing my old code back to life, one post at a time. Follow for the next one.

2010, Steve Jobs on touchscreen Macs: "your arm wants to fall off" 2026: Apple ships one So I made the touchscreen Mac we'd have gotten in 1984 👇 #MacBookPro #RetroComputing #Apple

Yesterday: the 3D Pac-Man that got me my first game dev job. But it wasn't enough. Gameloft sent an "additional test". Cars, Bullet physics, burning barrels. C++, 2011. Here it is on my Mac, 15 years later. They hired me anyway. Show me your first test task 👇

This 3D Pac-Man got me my first game dev job. Gameloft test task, 2011. C++, Irrlicht, Visual C++ 2008. 15 years later I rebuilt it on my Mac and found a bug: the snow I listed under "additional features" has alpha 0. Invisible the whole time ❄️ What was your first test task? #BuildInPublic

What if we had Claude Code for Windows 3.1? 🔊 Dial-up to the model. Models on 7 floppies. "Not enough memory to start Subagent 4." And it still finds a clever way to save 2 bytes.

My first programming language was QuickBASIC on MS-DOS. The coolest thing I made back then: green Matrix rain in the terminal. So I rebuilt it in Go with Claude for 2026 👇 What was YOUR first programming language? Drop it below; let's connect 🤝
