ALT About us: Max's Foundation was set up as a lasting legacy to 10 year old Max Schiller, who suddenly passed away from an undiagnosed genetic heart condition, known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, in 2015. In partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital, we fund two research positions, both of which play vital roles in research projects into the detection and treatment of genetic heart conditions in children. We also recognise how important peer support is for children and young adults with these conditions. In partnership with Cardiomyopathy UK, we fund a Youth Manager to run their Youth Panel, helping to ensure that children affected by cardiomyopathies receive the emotional and practical support that they need to live with their conditions and realise their potential. Thank you for your support - it really does mean so much.
