I’ve been feeling different lately. Can’t quite put a name to it. I feel well enough, but something inside me has changed, and I keep wondering what it is.
Today I’m sitting in a beautiful park, watching the afternoon go by. For once, I have no particular wish to be anywhere else.
After a while, it comes to me.
I’m happy.
It feels strange to take so long to recognise something I’ve spent so many years hoping for. But there it is. A quiet contentment. The simple pleasure of sitting beneath the trees and feeling at ease with my own life.
I think I’ll stay a little longer.
This deserves repeating.
