FFF STATEMENT: The racist remarks made by Paraguayan Senator Celeste Amarilla targeting Kylian Mbappé are utterly abhorrent and unacceptable. How can anyone make such comments? These remarks are criminal and deserve condemnation. They must be prosecuted, here and elsewhere. The FFF is referring the matter to the public prosecutor's office with a view to legal proceedings. The Federation offers its full support to its captain, its players and, more broadly, to all victims of such hateful remarks. More than ever, the FFF remains committed to fighting racism and all forms of discrimination. These comments bring shame on those who make them and those who spread them. The players of the French national team represent France, it is our country that has been insulted.

Horrifying. This is what happens when people - you know who you are - shamefully demonise all Muslims for the hideous crimes of a small minority.

The attack began near a mosque & ended with 5 people injured. Last night’s midnight bulletin on Radio 4 had the story half way down the running order and this morning’s 9 am bulletin had a 20 second read
Very little attention in UK media thus far to this story - low prominence, few details of injuries, who the victims are, where they were when the attacks took place, community reaction bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2x…

“I carry with me a photo of a Muslim child who, during my visit to Lebanon, was standing there holding a sign that said ‘Welcome, Pope Leo,’ and in this latest phase of the war, he was killed. “There are many human situations like this, and I believe we must have the ability to think in this way. “And as a Church, I say again: as a pastor, I cannot be in favor of war. “I would like to encourage everyone to make efforts to seek answers that come from a culture of peace, not of hatred or division.” — Pope Leo XIV

Ten years ago next week, the Labour MP Jo Cox was stabbed and killed by a white supremacist born in Scotland who hated her support for remaining in the European Union. Farage and his far-right supporters didn’t give a damn.
