A council investigation has been launched after the former Antrim Arms Hotel in Ballycastle, Co Antrim, was demolished overnight.
The landmark building, which dates back to the mid-18th century, was protected through listed-building status. In recent years, however, concerns have grown over its deteriorating condition and the potential danger it posed to nearby properties and the public.
